Longer than that for me. Yoda and the hut was a tough pass, I may actually cave and get this SS figure. It is tougher and tougher to resist for certain.

I grew up with Star Wars. The OT - then the prequels. I just love this universe. Also, there have been other stuff like Terminator, Aliens, Predator, comics like Marvel/DC...the list goes on and on.

See - in order for me to really be into something, there has to be a company making fantastic representations of these characters. I have been spoiled by Hot Toys in recent years. I did start my 1/6 collecting with Sideshow, and have a lot of their old Bond and Star Wars figures, it's just I have been waiting and waiting for them to show the Fetts, or an ESB or ROTJ Vader, but it's just Q and A's with little confirmations, or '2012' as answers. The Emperor puts me off, too. The guy was announced last December and is only meant to be coming out now. I guess I'm just hoping that either Sideshow makes Dooku or Boba Fett or my current favorite Starkiller soon, or Medicom makes the ultimate version of a character with Enterbay, because honestly, if I announced a merger on something, Star Wars would be screaming in my head.

This is just a rant really, but it is a rant that needs some reassurance that it's ok to like Sideshow as much as if not more than Hot Toys products, because I love Hot Toys' stuff, again, have loads of them, but often times, it's the waiting for them that's the best part. Once I nhave them, it's on display for maybe a week then boxed away again. Star Wars just has that mynock cave in my heart. It's such a warm place, feels like home.

The Troopers have been pretty much HT quality. (considering that HT had a hand in designing the bodies...)

Cody is a no-brainer. Order 66 pose for me as well.

Really cool figure. I like the Phase II design but the Phase I helmet seems to be better scaled with the rest of the body.

I haven't purchased a SS product since Vader and I have since sold him. I have the same history / outlook on collecting. I started out out with SS and I moved to HT and Medicom. I pretty much sold all SS and Medicom and I collect HT.

IMO since the Greedo preview SS products continues to impress making each po harder to resist. I almost ordered Emperor and throne until I seen the scale alongside Vader. Hammerhead and G-Guard though nice were easy passes because they didn't fit. Yoda and hut were so tough to pass that I may change my mind later. Cody looks bad a$$ the more I look at the pics the more I think I'll pull the trigger. :clap

But talk about an ugly head, Mr. Morrison! Is it just me or they drop the ball on that part? BTW, he looks great otherwise :)

Re: Sideshow 1:6 Commander Cody - NEWSLETTER PO 8/19

Any guesses what this bad boy will run? I'm figuring $150. or so...

Love it to be cheaper, but considering that he's coming with 2 helmets, at least two guns, the jet pack, the holo, (hopefully) several hands and his armor consists of considerably more than just some re-deco like the last few clones have had...new shoulder pads, new chest/torso pieces, new bicep shields, new forearm gauntlets...well, it won't be a surprise to see a price hike with this one.

He's a pretty substantial departure from the now-standard ROTS-style clone we've been getting...and I can't wait! :)

$125, I'm calling it.

Oh man am I glad I was right!!! Awesome and a great value! :chew
