At least half of the SSC items I own are not worth the asking price... ;)

True........It is so light weight, it feels cheap being plastic and hollow. Box and all less weight then an a figure, yet it is bigger on stand. Since I didn't pay for weight, I got my money's worth from appearance as it looks great.

You can always fill it full of sand for that extra heft. ;)

Exactly LOL :) I never understood the need for heavy collectibles. Heavy doesn't mean necessarily good. I own a few lightweight items that are much more accurate and beautiful (and even expensive) than heavy ones. And I also own a few really heavy items that are fantastic. Weight is not a way of measuring quality in this case, we are not talking about gold ingots.

The Probe Droid is not that fragile either. Of course someone could make if full titanium arms with kevlar armored body to be able to drop it from space... But this is a collectible, in a way closer to the model kits.

And finally I've seen less SSC Probots with damage than Attakus 1:5 statues which, besides being less accurate than the SSC version, are crazy easy to break.

Personally, I'm glad it's hollow - it will fit the extra electronics to make it remote control operable...

I believe it's just over a pound, where a typical figure (snowtrooper) is about 13 ounces. Vader is also over a pound though and may actually weigh a bit more.

The weight doesnt bother me either. Only made it easier to carry home from the post Office :)

You putting servo motors in there too?

First priority are lights and sounds, DC wired and remote activated. Depending on space and how well the head spins I may consider adding a servo. First I have to get this though - still haven't ordered - this is a recent decision as I'd intended to pass.

Very interested to see what you come up with, if/when you get around to picking one up.

Me too.

Me three. ;) My hoth shelf only holds boxes at the moment. My Vader box, my only clone trooper, snowtrooper and a couple of Marmits. It's an expensive shelf to build out, that's for sure - I've only got the snowtrooper for it at the moment.

Opened earlier today......love the item buuuuuut I don't feel worth $250. I am glad used a coupon and some reward points to bring the cost down.

This is why I haven't picked one up yet, I can get locally for 325$ bug haven't pulled the trigger
