All the sensitivity about weight, I thought I entered a Weight Watchers Thread by accident....
I think most people here in the thread saw that come up a few months ago. The only question right now is if it will actually go live this month or will it be pushed out to Feb-March?

Maybe you know the 1:5 Attakus statue which was less accurate and way too fragile... but it was heavier. This 1:6 Probot is indeed an excellent "compromise" considering a studio scale too - also remember one of the talented RPF guys helped SSC make it as accurate as possible.
That's easy, get a couple of led weights and glue them in. You can get many different kinds at your nearest fishing tackle store.
Don't get me wrong, It is a beautiful piece with impressive engineering, I just wish it was studio scale. Since I abandoned my idea of a Hoth diorama, I couldn't see it working as a stand alone piece in my display. $250 would go a long way towards a studio scale model which is the slippery slope I'm considering heading down. Especially after I saw what Jason Eaton did with his studio scale!
I know for a fact tackle shops do NOT sell lead weights anymore.
As an avid angler (quad illiteration!), I know for a fact tackle shops do NOT sell lead weights anymore.
That's a regional/state restriction if you are in the US.
But you can more easily just fill a cavity with sand, playdough, plasticine, small nails/screws, whatever, anyway.
Google has proven you correct, but I was intending to be more facetious..

Nothing yet. Status was changed to "Shipping soon" a couple days ago. I usually don't get the shipping emails until later at night.
Yeah, not to get defensive about it, but I don't see how anyone could be disappointed with the Probe Droid. It looks exactly how it should and the detail, paint apps and shelf presence is amazing. The weight comments just do my head in a little. Like could it be more besides the point. Bah.
LOPIE: Congrats. Can't believe you scored this for $180.00. I'm 100% happy with the $250.00 retail I paid, so you got a fantastic deal.
