Like Wor said, the smaller looks more Jawa-like than the taller. I'll be swapping bandoliers on these guys so the shorter guy can carry the ion blaster and holster. I'll probably give him the vest as well.

I wonder if the hoods are separate pieces from the robes? That way you could pick up an extra from TA so they both have the same hoods. Even if they aren't separate you could still probably do a little cut and sew to give them each the better looking hood.

Just ship them out Sideshow. I need these Jawas in my display.

The smaller guy looks more like a traditional Jawa to me, but the tall one does have the cool gun. Decisions....

Taller one looks like he's standing on a box under there. Sort of just vertically stretched. They were supposed to be small adults as opposed to the kids under the short ones.

Taller one's head looks tiny. Which kind of matches a lot of things about the figure - hands and bandoliers also look a little undersized to me.

It'd been cool if they included one of these too.

I think you can see one of the hood "tentacles" peeking out from behind in the upper right hand photo.

Yeah, you can see hints of them in most of the product shots on SS's site.

To me the "taller" jawa's hood looks similar to the sculpted hood on the old 3.75" Kenner figure.

I definitely want them as well but will wait to see in hand production pics. That picture above is from an earlier convention and what we saw at Wondercon looks to be different materials for the robes.

I am hoping they finish these up soon and put up correct/final pictures. It is weird how long they take to get things to market these days. When you see a company like Asmus produce Hobbit bodies and have a two pack out in a matter of a few months from first images to in your hand, you have to wonder what a "seasoned vet" like SSC is doing these days.

yes, here is a comparison pic. Most recent on the left.

Just had a vision of Orko from the MOTU cartoon. Just make the robes Purple.

Ha! Orko... That's funny.

I can't believe I've waited years for jawas and the deal breaker (for me) comes down to the hanging bits from the hoods. Disappointing.

Will, you're going to make someone custom Jawas, including robes, bandoliers and weapons for under $110? I've got parts coming out the yin-yang for doing the same, but I'm in for a couple from you instead.

Ah you're right. But we all know that if people are splitting these things up there's a gun they probably want, and one they can barely see. I like the mouse trap they included.

Everytime I see that pic I still only see Vivi from Final Fantasy IX :)

Well my Jawas are improving and so I guess I am biased in that I think the quality will be better in some aspects, namely they look more like Jawas, so I can't afford to give them away. Cost is about 90.00 on a basic model before any custom work and time is spent.

I'm not questioning the quality, I'm questioning your price as being very low. I have no plans to build Jawas for anyone else at this time, but I was going to make a couple for myself to sit with Sideshow's. Feel free to send me a PM as we're getting off-topic for this thread - what's included for $100?
