Genghisjon, those look awesome. I have to find out how to water treat the robes. That is one aspect I have never done.

Thanks! It's really a simple trick.

Undress the figure and run the robe under some cool tap water. I ring out the fabric a little so it isn't too sopping wet. Then redress the figure, the weight of the damp fabric will lay much more naturally. You can also "sculpt" the robes into the position you like by making folds and creases where it looks appropriate. Then just let the figure air dry.

Yes, that image is on the front of the box. Here's a crappy pic.

You can see the other ion blaster is in the tall Jawa's holster. The image really caught me off guard as it was never anounced to be included. Certainly an odd choice to include on the package.

Really good catch. I never saw that photo before. They must have decided against it right before they solicited pre-orders. Or they were using the medicom blaster for that photo. :lol

Lol, I wouldn't put it past them to use the medicom one!

My tall Jawa's robes dried nicely. I may have to pick up R5 now...

Definitely the old Hobbit body.

If true this is so effing irritating. Lets charge the new premium prices and reuse absolute garbage from ten years ago. Sideshow the company isn't even pretending to try anymore. Which is a shame because whoever designed these guys did a lot of things very well.

I've noticed on a lot of the pics that the Jawa head sculpts pop out too far from inside the hoods.

Is it possible to hide the head sculpts more in the hoods or are the hoods too small?

I try to keep the head back, but not always easy to not see the face. Partly depends on the lighting and the other part is the posing futzing.

Great shots, Ton Ton!

Got a quick one outside at dusk...

I love these little guys...except for these weak flimsy bodies. Otherwise, they're great...

Nice pictures guys.

I think I'll probably pick these up later but they are not high on the list right now.

They appear to be solid-necked variants of the 2007/08 Hobbit body, but those weren't very widely used and I guess they paid for the development of a short-stature body. From memory those bodies did have issues with loose joints but I'm guessing it would be $$$ retooling to fix those issues.

Great pic, but looks like the missus there might need a touch of waxing.:dunno

SSC claimed to have developed a brand new body with production at a brand new factory for these figures last year.

Great pictures everyone!

Good to hear you got a good pair, stickman. Look forward to some shots of these guys knocking a couple back at the cantina.

Thanks TonTon, I'll have them there getting drunk soon enough.

I think customizers can use these bodies from the 8 inch super store with minimum alterations. These bodies seem a lot better than what SS produced.

Just opened my set today. Was skeptical based on posts but aside from the slightly loose bodies I'm actually happy with these guys. The hoods actually work well - I may look to weather them up with some sand dust here and there but otherwise I'm happy to have these guys.

Some construction is happening in my sideyard so took out the Jawa and R2 for some shots in the dirt. Droid hunt. Didn't have the patience to change up the pose as it was hard enough to keep the Jawa upright.

Man, you're on fire! Great set of shots, Ton Ton...really cool.

Futzed with them a bit today. taped up the joints so I could at least get them to stand more than a minute (yes, the bodies on this set are that loose) and that helped. Poke and prod at 'em a bit and they're great looking figures. Can't wait to get 'em out in the desert later this year for some shots.

In the meantime, here's an outdoor glimpse from me...
