Great pics, jedibear and TonTon! :rock

I love that trick with the eyes that mespendez did. I was thinking about painting the outer edge of mine black but I'll have to check out that tape first.

Also, as I was putting these on a stand I noticed 2008 stamped on their butts. Isn't that when the Hobbits came out? I'm thinking these aren't newly designed bodies but modified Frodo and Sam bodies instead.

Well how about that...

I have Frodo and Sam and neither of them has a body as loose as these. I wonder what's up with that?

If you are interested in the gaffer tape mod, you'll b glad to know that it is simple. Gaffer tape can torn into strips easily. Just make a small incision with scissors to set the thickness, then just rip away.

TonTon that photo of the one sitting is probably the best I've seen these figures look. I think the way the hood sits really makes or breaks the way these look.

:duff Thanks, guys! Yeah I always liked the shots of the jawas sitting cross-legged from the promo pics that were taken. Gave them a lot of character and not something you could really get away with on too many other figures.

I finally figured out how to turn the lights off without removing the hood but you have to dig your nail in as the switch is basically recessed, seems like it could do damage over the long term. Should have been a button or bigger switch that could easily be felt through the hood.

I like the more open hood look but i like the variation you get when you flip the hood around. I have the tentacles tucked into the bandolier straps sort of so they're not flopping around back there.

Picked these guys up yesterday and opened them right away, I had to take a couple of photos. Luckily there were no issues with the bodies being too flimsy or loose. They are very cool little guys, the stock body seems to be the ones used for the Retro-Mego teen figures. Maybe the teen S TYPE Mego body might be a good substitute for people looking to replace their bodies? :huh

Also here is a quick scale comparison to Neca's 7" POTA figures.

I'm a bit confused. There were never two of the bigger blasters with this release, even at prototype stage. Not sure what photo is on the package.

I think this is the box cover image.

I just received and opened mine. My short Jawa is missing his right hand. Reached out to Sideshow to see if they can send a replacement part. Fingers crossed.

These photos are great. Love the look of them.

Robes are almost finished for those of you who ordered replacement robes....it shan't be long.

Yes, that image is on the front of the box. Here's a crappy pic.

You can see the other ion blaster is in the tall Jawa's holster. The image really caught me off guard as it was never anounced to be included. Certainly an odd choice to include on the package.

Just tightened up the smaller Jawa body and now it poses a lot better. For those interested, I here are some short instructions to how I achieved it.

I used Loctite 401 super glue.

I applied superglue to the areas marked in red on the following picture. Once applied keep moving the joints every few seconds to keep it from sticking. This will allow the glue to solidify and create better friction, thus tightening the joint.

Below are pictures of how I covered the head with thin strips of gaffer tape. For those seeking to perform this mod. Use gaffer tape, it allows you to tear thin strips. I used a razor blade to cut the tape around the battery compartment for easy access.

Happy Jawa.

Well.... after bashing early pics of these guys... I now see what everyone else sees....

the perfect Jawas...

The more I futz with them the more I love these little guys. The super glue and gaffer tape tutorial is great mespendez!

I ended up doing the super glue trick as well on the legs - my Jawas arms weren't too bad. I also did a little dab of glue in the forearm hole and let it dry. Now the wrist pegs conect much better, and the hands won't pop off so easy.

Here's mine after giving the robes the water treatment and padding both torsos with a fat suit.
