Priced right I think there's a real market for Astro repaints

$100-$125 a piece, then maybe. I don't think they would perform like clones.

Might work if they stayed away from prequel droids. There are only so many OT droids. Once you get into the prequels and cartoons, it gets ridiculous.

If these guys can go for $129 for a set, no reason a single bare bones astromech can't for for $125.

I forgot about them. R2 should be $150 tops. :lecture

As for the other ones, I'll t'e R5-D4, but I'd rather spend my money on a Power Droid, more bounty hunters, Ree Yees, Squidhead, or Walrus Man than a bunch of R2 clones.

Although I'm obviously a big droid fan - after acquiring R2 & 3PO, I'd stop at R5-D4 & the gold / silver Sandcrawler RA-7 if SSC made them nicely enough.

The other variations are nice to think about, but in all practicality I'm keeping my focus pretty tight.

I air on the higher side of price possibility because of the engineering involved.

The Battle droids have some complex engineering as well. They can even fold down and collapse into their "storage mode"

The only thing that really makes r2 more complicated is his electronics. 150$ is believeable, and fair.

And there ARE people who will buy multiples, as well as other colored droids. Some of us LOVE astromechs.
