Not saying I'd definitely buy, but I could be persuaded even if it was just to compare the two in-hand and sell off the loser.

Yeah, it would be a tough call for me. With rising costs and my purchases becoming much more selective Im not sure. Like if there were 3 or 4 great figures coming out around that time would I still pony up $220-250 or whatever for a new Threepio when I already have an amazing one. I'm curious to see what they come up with. To be honest ,a nice plastic Threepio has the the potential to be more fun[/l] than the Tama. I love the Tama. The look, heft, feel and overall engineering makes it a true marvel. But those are the very reasons I barely touch the damn thing. :lol With a plastic Threepio I may be more inclined to pose , move , "play" with more.

Half the size, twice the tooling :dunno

Same size, twice the tooling :dunno

:lecture :exactly: :lol

150 sounds unrealistic for R2

150 bucks sounds sexy enough for a threesome. But I'd be happy for an unboxing night with just me and a single polished dome.

lots of new tooling. Tons of Reuse potential . 150$ is completely possible.

After R2 I thought the next popular astromech droids would probably be R5-D4. Love to see that fella turning up soon.

He's certainly my runner up to Artoo. I'm planning my next tattoo, and it's R5. Hoping to have him late June. :yess:

Yeah, but that was just highball guessing. I'm sure if we look back at the thread people were hoping Vader would be no more $200!

Its true, people post ridiculously low and crazy high prices. Not sure I get the logic of either. Why would anyone want to post how high they'd actually pay? And who's fooled by the insanely low "guesses"?

I think everyone here knows damn-well within $30 where the price is going to be.

Whatever state it was in beforehand I try to never end my night without a polished dome.

$139. We should stand together and boycott it if it's any higher. Send a message to Sideshow! Who's with me?!? Anyone?

Hello?

😔

Not sure what's worse, the fact that so many people are okay with it being $200+ or the fact that it will probably be that high. It's half the size of a regular figure, this should be $150 at most. Darth Vader was $250. This shouldn't be $50 less than that.

I'm guessing $12,599.00

Oh wait, that's what I'm planning on my life size.

This little guy should be about $179.99, with those electronics and accessories. I'm mostly okay with it because I don't make a habit of buying Sideshow products any more, and SS was kind enough to give so many RP's away at the end of 2013...

It's a guesstimate, since I had to sell off all my parts after becoming unemployed last year. But after DroidCon and talking to the fellas, figuring out what I'd like to put into mine, I think it's fairly accurate. Gotta figure if the naked frame alone is about $2200...

And that's what I'm after before the end of the year.

Just... the... frame :r2d2line
