Sideshow 1/6 R2-D2

He is exactly 7" tall despite the angle of the shot

The respective sizes looks sooo perfect there, I hope it will look as good with the SSC one. I get the feeling that it is a bit skinnier, but that could just as easily be just the photos we have now. Of course I have a total of three Taitos now but I will never get them too look as good at this even.

What are the chances that Sideshow will be bringing out at least one other R2 iteration, ie the ceremony R2? That'd be a better companion piece to the Tama 3PO.

Of course that'll mean I'll be picking up sideshow's weathered 3PO as well, to go with weathered R2.

But then SS could bring out a ceremony 3PO too.

Looks like I'm destined to be one 3PO extra.

If they do decide do release more R2 droids or another R2D2 I wonder what accessories they will come with to keep up the price. I mean all the R2D2 stuff with the Jabba barge stuff and Bens table will be pretty useless with other droids, or is that just me?

Man, I think this R2 looks amazing! Passed on the 1/4, just couldn't justify the price. The only problem is, since there don't seem to be anymore Mythos in the pipeline, this little R2 now has me looking at other 1/6 Star Wars Figs. Probably going to be my gateway drug into other purchases.

I can see them doing two of each. A PT R2 with the jet thrusters, and this one. A weathered OT Theepio and a nakey Ep.1 Threepio

I sold the regect one i posted pics. I will be coming up with a new pattern but will solve some issues so lining looks flawless.

I personally won't sweat 1/4" if they shave that off C3PO then all the better at 11.75" I still think all the lukes should be 11.25 and leia at 11" total that would have worked better with scale over all for this whole collection.

I'd sooner they spend the money on new dome variations rather than just a steady stream for R2's. I need this....

Yes, Gonk is one of my favourite Vintage toys I own. A 1:6th version would be an instant PO, as this R2 was!

Definitely picking up R2 and can't wait to see C3PO. Height doesn't really bother me as he should be close enough.

So many cool features, such great detail. But the two things that kill it for me is that seam going down the side of the dome and the paint job. Does anyone else see that contrast compared to Medicom's dome?
