Since I'm going to keep my Tamashii 3PO on his stand, anyone got any good suggestions for a stand for the new R2?

It would be nice. Dave's said Sideshow doesn't pay for clickthrough sales for Star Wars, so no Sideshow SW pieces will ever grace the banner.

Hey highlander, just curious, but if presumably you're buying the exclusive from SSC, why are you buying a second from BBTS? They're the same price and by buying from SSC, you'd save on shipping and get another $7.50 in rewards points. I only ask because it seems quite common around here for people to not know that they can order the regular version direct from SSC, even while the exclusive is available.

I would save more in Tax that I would I would in shipping/points.

My Taito R2 clock (great spaceholder ) is round about 7" and it's pretty much in scale with the Tamashii 3PO, Sideshow's R2 size chart says 6.75" so I'm sure it'll look great next to Tamashii 3PO.

question does anyone know is sideshow really said that C3PO is in the making because i can't really afford the tamashi and if it is top heavy he will just crush poor R2 if I could. and let's face it medicom sucks azz almost all the time I hear about them breaking or something malfunctioning not to mention the scale is mini people.

I thought taito clock was 8" tall I will measure him since i was going off someone's measurements prior.

Like I said in an earlier reply, they've all but confirmed it. In the teaser blurb on their site they referred to R2 being a part of a 'pair'. In the official product pics, 3PO is in one of the backgrounds in silhouette form. Alex from Sideshow has posted here in suitably vague but transparent terms that 3PO is in the works.
