SS shipping quotes are usually spot on to what I'm charged I find. If you go to the reg R2 page it says shipping to Aust is about $75.

The box is wider than the standard figs but shorter. That might be increasing the dimensional weight and thus the price of shipping. Hope your CS chat reveals it to be an error. I'm not cancelling though.
$150USD is about $180AUD at the moment (plus any conversion fees and dependent on your banks exchange rate).

The only exclusive I ever got that was a must-buy was the DX04 extra body. As for R2, the figure itself is the only thing that'll ever leave the box.
That's gotta be worth an extra fifty bucks right?
