Great custom Professor Jones! I plan on doing the same thing with the Giles outfit. :D

Ditto here too... But got to find shoes that'll fit (and thenammagazine, thanks for the PM directing me to one set from an on-line retailer but as you mentioned that's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than I'd be willing to spend).

Then your best bet is to bust out the nail clippers and trim the feat until you can get them in by heating the Giles shoes. The easiest way is to just take Giles' foot and trace the outline on the bottom of the TrueType's foot. Once you can fit them, I'd put the socks on them then slip them in and glue them in place. Be mindful to keep the glue at the front of the shoes (it can discolor the socks) and remember not to fit the feet onto the body until the glue's completely dried.

As for the Tie, it's fairly easy but also a bit of a pain. I removed the elastic strip by cutting off the black string that's binding it to the tie. Then straightened the tie out and cut off about 1/2 inch from the skinny end. Then, take the chubbier length of tie at each end and twist it in the middle, twice, really tight (make sure both good parts are facing forward), smash the twist into a knot and glue it. Then through folding and a bit of trimming, you can form the bows. Once they're formed, take the elastic strip and hold it to the back of the bow tie. Then simply take the extra piece, wrap it around the knot, securing the elastic strip to the back and glue it in place.

I got my Indy yesterday, and I love it! It's really a dream come true as an indyfan!

A bit of advice a friend passed on to me, add some small weights to the satchel. it gives it a really great hang that feels authentic. I used some small metal pieces I bought at a hardware store... really pulls it down on his shoulder and chest well.

I'm aching to repaint this guy! Maybe over the weekend. the factory paintjob is well done when you see it in person...I just have an itch to really give this guy a personal touch. the stubble, however, is odd. I think I would have preferred an airbrushed 5 o'clock shadow as opposed to the brushed look.

very very fun stuff!

Good tip. :)

Hey guys, I just received Indy this evening. I've been waiting for this figure for a long time, so it is great to finally see it in person. Just couple questions that I couldn't tell from pictures. On your jacket, is the storm flap side w/ zipper longer than the other side with the zipper? Also, is the collar on your jacket shorter on the storm flap side?

Hey all.

Just received my Indy yesterday. I have to say that I am very impressed. I do have a few minor complaints, but the good far outweighs the bad. Trevor, your sculpt is amazing. Saw the unpainted protos way back, and I knew we were in for greatness.

Most of the issues I have were already brought up by Agent5 (we should all trust his expertise with the Raiders costume. He knows it better than any of us). I can live with the wrong color holster. I'm really glad they changed the web belt color from tan/OD green to brown. But I am a little confused by the addition of the stormflap studs. I don't want to reignite the debate, but I find it to be a curious addition.

My one main wish is that Indy came with a hand that allows him to hold the idol. Even just a relaxed pose that the idol could be rested upon. (Side note: I had to carve down the flash around the hole on the bottom of the idol so that it would stand properly.) I can't get him to hold the thing so that it doesn't look like the Heisman Trophy pose.

Also, after seeing the great attention paid to the guns, I'm a bit bummed that the revolver has no lanyard ring. It's got a spot for it.

Well, since this is a photo thread, I'll add one of mine. Enjoy!

Welcome to the board shtick! Great to have ya here. Awesome medallion! Yeah, Agent5 is the expert, I think no one really knew who he was at first, but he is an invaluable resource for this board.

Idol hand: Use a Hot Toys Jor El or like hand and you're good to go. :D

Thought I'd share with the Indy fandom, I'm getting my BR Joker same day as Indy, but Indy's taking center stage :rock

What! No, no, no! You got your priorities all wrong! I thought you just saw Indy the first time this year? Joker > Indy.

I'm banned from this thread now, huh?
