Thanks, will do. Although, the holes for the pistons seem to be part of the front end main steering vanes, not actually attached to the "terrain sensor", correct?

Yep, yeah just noticed that. My sensor was already attached and it seemed it was all one piece. So i guess you will need the whole outrigger assembly. I don't think anything else can be removed from the front of the bike?
Let us know how you go with getting a replacement.

So I got my speeder on the 18th. Opened it up and the first thing I noticed...no directions. Thank god for this forum or else I would have been a bit lost regarding assembly. The second issue... The thin silver cable on the handlebar with the red button was cut in half. Now I will give SS credit, they emailed me a digital copy of the directions and I got my replacement handlebar yesterday....HOWEVER, something's seems to be a bit off.

Shouldn't the small circles/cylinders at the bottom of the handlebars (where they join to the body) be straight up and down, not angled and flush with the body as seen in the pic?

Based on the movie, they're not supposed to be angled like that - maybe the holes were drilled wrong on this bike?

Sideshow created 1/6 scale bike with a blindfold. Ignoring all the info learned when they created the 1/4 scale bike.

My Speeder Bike is now on my workbench. Still trying to figure out how to separate the bottom chassis from the top hull. Any ideas?

So I was watching some youtube reviews of the PF of this piece and noticed the right handle bar has the exact same problem.

Hey what do you guys think the old Hasbro bikes would fetch? $50 a fair price? Too high? Could I get more? I know it's not as nice as this piece but it's a fraction of the cost and I think it was one of Hasbro's finest efforts.

Really digging the pics that folks are posting....looking great!

Here's another couple from me....

Really enjoying this set. Now that the angst of getting it assembled have past, it's great to just admire and enjoy how good this looks....

Great photos. :clap

Someone needs to take this set into the red wood forests where the Endor scenes were shot. Would be an epic photo shoot.

That was my neck of the woods about 12 years ago....out east now for only the occasional trip....and yes, that would look pretty cool...

Gah, those handlebars were a pain in the arse! Looks great once done though.
