It's not the robe. Look at the distance from the hands to the top of the head - now go raise your arms in the mirror. Unless your name is Cee Lo Green, your reflection will look nothing like that Tusken.

This anatomy lesson has been brought to you by Pledge.

I should hope not too! :lol

I expect if the robe was positioned differently the arms could be moved higher.

There's not much difference.

This shot shows it can get better height.

In the movies, the actors had their elbow bent. I found that with the Sideshow figure (and all Hasbro figures), even setting the arm as straight as possible, only the hands come to the top of the head. I'm pretty sure someone has already done mods to lengthen the arms (swap?)

IMO, they're still short accounting for shoulder movement. Most people I know (again, except Cee Lo) can reach WAY above their heads. So much so that with shoulder raising, your elbows, not your wrists, are at the level of the top of your head.

Don't the Prometheus bodies have multiple shoulder articulation like HT's TTM?

Now this poor guy's shoulders definitely don't help the situation:

Thanks Fiend, really pleased with the Tusken pics.

This one is my favourite pic. I've added some filters and effects to it.

I also thought the arms were a bit short. I swapped out the bodies on all of mine, I think they look better.....

Its a great figure. :)

I have to agree with the previous comments about the stumpy arms. It's a great figure - I do plan on getting it at some point, but SSC & their **** stock bodies - JEEZUS!!! :gah:

Looks great.

You know you're a Star Wars fiend when you have an array of helmets and headsculpts on a shelf waiting to be worked on or used. :)

I see a Bom Vimdin back there. He's my favorite Cantina patron besides Ponda Baba and that devil dude, can't remember his name. Is that a custom you're working on?

Thanks man. :)

That is in fact Bom Vimdin, its one of Duane's sculpts. Its great. I had him done a while back, but wasnt happy with him and scrapped him. I will revisit him when I get some time, in the meantime the head goes back on the shelf. I have a custom of the "devil dude" Labria, he is also one of my favorites.

I have a bunch of stuff in the works, there are some pics of everything in my thread in the custom SW section. :)

Labria! That's his name. I bet Bom Vimdin would have a very interesting outfit in 1/6 if done right. I think Hasbro did a wonderful job on him with their Vintage line.

Same goes for Ponda and Dr. Evazan. :)

Great display, Chakaman! They look amazing....

Off to the desert with one of my Tuskens for some shots next week...
Did some last year with the Sandtrooper...

The Tusken should be a natural out there....

No. The point is you SHOULDN'T need to do a body swap on a $100+ figure. That's Sideshow Collectibles for you.

Preaching to the choir.

If that shot doesn't fool most people into thinking it's 1:1, I don't know what will. Damn nice!
