totally something i would recommend... with a little effort, the Medicom helmet can look much better.

I'd rather keep my Medicom Stormie the way he is, as the helmet is made to look like the ones in ROTJ and i think they looked much more pissed off, i never really thought they looked all that bad.

See, i am sure some of you look at the Medicom and expect it to look like the helmet seen in AHH/ESB as some people just do not remember the differences that could be seen from ROTJ to the later movies...and then make your false judgement on the medicom for not looking like ANH/ESB styled trooper when its clearly ROTJ or almost that.

I've boiled the chestplate on mine but I feel it could still look better - I've done it like 2 or 3 times... how many times did other peeps do this until it looked ok? Dont get me wrong its a great figure - looks like a freakin Stormtrooper to me!

Riiiiiight because there hasn't already been a million pics posted in here of the ROTJ stormie and just as many posters pointing that out. I think its simply a matter of most people preferring the ANH look to the ROTJ look.

I prefer the ANH look:naughty

Thats right, see the way i see it is..if you heat up the medicom helmet and push it in to make it more wide then well, what are we making it look like?..i just think it looks good enough left alone.

The way you have it posed, it does. :lol

Pull the helmet up a little and it will make a big difference.

Thank you, it really did make a HUGE difference. But is not only his lack of neck I had.

Notice his arms the way they are, I position him with his gun the same height as my Medicom but in about 2 minutes his arms have lowered to his waist.

And also, it feels so flimsy. I feels like those old toys that came in a base and had a button at the bottom of the base that when pressed the whole figure would crumble down because they were only connected by strings.

Do you guys know which ones I am talking about? That is the way my SS Stormtrooper feels like.

Luis

Cheers, the point I was making was I drew that mask from memory just now,(I spent too many hours drawing them when I was a kid to forget the details) and it's unmistakably a Stormtrooper, I'm not saying its wrong to obsess over the details if that's your thang... but hey, every figure displayed in that cabinet is a cool take on a Stormtrooper!

More ridiculous than it already looks? :huh It's already out of scale with the body. ;)

This is exactly where I'm at... I do notice the little details but I don't obsess over them. Good point, well made wookster.

Sorry to here your Stormy has the loose joints syndrom. I heard you can tighten the screws to stiffen it up.

And I totally know what toy your talkin about. Brings back memories. Always thought those were cool toys. Would be cool to have one as a stormtrooper.

Finally I decided to get this figure. I was debating this for a long time, but I finally take actions about this and bought this.
I must admint that I´m really impressed about Sideshow´s work on this piece!!
It´s really good and for the price (the half of a medi) I must says that kicked out the medi trooper out of the picture!!!!!!
I´m not going to enter on the debate about the details in the armor or the accurate of the helmet but the figure blow me away! Because I see here are a lots of nitpickings (if you want perfect details and scale begin a 1/1 collection)
I´m really enjoy playing with it!!! And now I´m loooking forward to the clones!

Great job Sideshow!!!!

Took a few more shots of mine now I've tightened all the joints and had a chance to play around with him for a bit.

Yep, me likey!:stormtroo
