i miss the PF so i am getting this for sure not going to pay 2k for PF. I canceled the HT classic Predator and will sell my Neca Predator 18"

true, but if everyone had that attitude, they would never order anything until in hand pics showed up. All we have is proto pics to base our decision on. Going off of the pics, I don't think it's even close which piece will have the best quality. This is a great piece for the price and for those that missed the 1/4 version, but even if I didn't have the 1/4, I don't think I would be buying this.

This will be a miss for me, great pose but not enough detail, the netting looks like it painted on & the head just doesn't look right

true, and if Wolf is way over $1500, I won't be buying him. I would pay $2k for a 1/3 P1 or P2, but not a 1/4 scale Wolf Pred.

nope, Dutch is 1/4. He was made to go with the 1/4 maquette.

the Bio head is way off. Just look at the original maquette Bio and look at the one on this statue, looks off. The unmasked portrait looks good though. It's just an accuracy type thing.

Yeh. That's what I was asking, Dutch PF with the pred maquette. Would look cool I'm sure. Not to worry about the mask portrait won't get a look in, the unmasked will be the only display for me.

the P1 pf already exists . The Dutch pf was made for the original Pred maquette, not for a future 1/4 P1 release. They've done the P1 in all scales except 1/3, I believe that scale will be next as a LSF.

Like others have said, though it may be "mixed media," it is not a PF because Sideshow didn't categorize it as a PF. As for Dutch being made as a complement to that other statue, it was released, what, 5 or 6 years ago? And there were only 1,000 made including regular and exclusive, which isn't much in this day and age. They aren't flooding the market out there so that everyone who wants one has one. It's all speculation, but I fully expect to see Sideshow release a newer 1/4 scale Predator to complement the newer Dutch, and as they showed with Spidey and Wolvie (roughly 1/4 scale PFs and Comiquettes exist for both), they aren't above doing the same character twice in the same size when they can do something different with it, particularly when they know that the newer release will sell.

They might make a new 1/4, I could care less if they did, but since a lot of ppl have been asking for a 1:2 version for so long, I believe they will make a 1:3 next because a true 1:2 version would easily be $3k and it would tower over all LSF's.

I don't think SS wants to make a statue that big, but we'll see, I would put my money on a much larger P1 then the 1/4 to try and out do the CM version as the biggest Predator statue. They've certainly hinted at a very big Predator piece in the works, we just don't know what scale it is. They've also confirmed a P2 "pf" in the works, I would assume that's 1/4 to go with Wolf and the original maquette.

Unlike the Bucky PF ex which I can't sell. I think it's cool but there ain't no love for it out there so I'm stuck with two. Hate the way sideshow suck you in with there low stock email only for it to still be available months later!

i imagine there is a mass cancellation of the HT classic pred as there is no NRD, i am on the fence since the HT version also as an exclusive version with the skull.

That Wolf LSF doesn't look much bigger than 1/3 scale to my eyes. Could be that's what to expect from a Predator 1 LSF, size-wise, if one is forthcoming, meaning that you could be right. I have noticed that Sideshow has neglected Predators somewhat up until recently, and that plus the Dutch PF is actually what has me thinking they'll do Predator 1 in 1/4 scale format again, and soon. I just think it makes a lot of sense to do it given that Dutch is coming, and 6+ years ago for the Maquette might as well be pre-historic times as far as collectibles are concerned. I don't think they are gonna release a statue and anticipate that folks are gonna buy it to complement something released so long ago.

But who knows? Maybe Dutch will be all there is to come from that film in that size, and that's cool if that's what Sideshow wants to do.
