Statue Sideshow 1987 Predator 1/5 Scale Statue

Unmasked head only for EX? Now it's SS King Leonidas all over again. Who'd buy a regular version of this statue anyway? I prefer HT classic pred over this anyday for it's more "completed" Sure EX version will sell out quickly but a regular one will take years. If masked head is EX item then it may not be so for he looks a lot better with unmasked head.
Now SS just want to sell only their EX again...

And no, he just reminded me that these ones have netting.

If they can't paint anything on the tracker maquette right..who has no netting, if they paint a 1/4 scale Darth Maul statue orange instead of red, how can I trust them to paint these tiny little lines black with no sloppyness?

Hot Toys has good paint.
Neca has good sculpts.
Sideshow is losing both.

It's ok, just wait for the reviews and photos after it's shipped. If the netting isnt a problem, you can always get it off ebay flippers for double the price. Meanwhile feel free to continue worry and complain about possible netting not in a straight line from that 1 guy.

I get tired of hearing that, look at the proto, it looks awesome, and even if it comes out a little less accurate, I think its funny to see people say Im not getting this becasue of the netting. Such a small detail in my eye, I know from the NECA threads though that netting apprently is a be all end all deal for some. The gods laugh at your netting issues.

I just don't understand why so many people are complaining and whining about such small details. There has never been a better time to be a fan of Alien and Predator collectibles. We have so many options to choose from at all price levels. Buy what you like and don't buy what you don't. It's that simple.

Likeness on a sculpt is kind of a big deal. At least to me, but I agree completely that it is a great time to be a Predator fan. Loving Predator collectibles for nearly 24 years (god has it been that long!?!) has taught me that there is almost certainly something better on the way if you are unhappy with the current offering

I think someone else mentioned it ealier in this thread, but I think alot of people are waiting on Wolf to drop and see what kind of price point hes going to have before commiting to this.

True, but I think it looks great and isn't really that far off. Congrats on collecting for that long! I'm in my 30's and have also been collecting for quite some time, however, not that long with these higher end pieces.

yea, but that's also bad at the same time because their not spreading it out enough for ppl to be able to buy most of it. A 1/3-1/4 Wolf should've happened years ago, same with Dutch. I'm being very picky because of all of that, I'm not even getting the HT versions in hope that Wolf's price won't be so bad.

yep, prolly. Even so, this is a good, nice statue representation of the P1, but for it's size, it lacks a lot of detail that even a $70 figure had.

No, what other incredibly famous movie monsters that you know of have a unique body net? None.

It's a big ____in deal to some people. I don't see how anyone could accept a P1 figure/statue without netting..it's a BIG part of the character.

I'm pushing the "burn in hell for all eternity" button for the next person who calls me a whiner/complainer for NOT WORSHIPPING SOMTHING SS HAS MADE, OR HAVING A SMALL CONCERN ABOUT THE NETTING.
