When you've got this piece in-hand I doubt you'll have the heart to send it back. It's that awesome. I didn't get one and I'm not going to but that's for personal reasons. To everyone that got the EX, thats the way to go.

To everyone else that got the regular. EX or FAIL!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to base my opinion on how SS has handled painted Pred netting in the past...and the netting on the SS P1 and P2 dios was great.

So, this piece shouldn't have any problem.

You have a point there Sabres.. I have the P1 dio and indeed
the netting on that does look great.
If this new statue comes out with the same quality I'll be happy.

Ex or Fail is nonsens.I ordered the ex but why i fail when i buy a regular edition.

So, I'm considering getting this statue as my very first Predator collectible. I just saw ALL of the movies this weekend, and loved them. I was contemplating this statue, the NECA 18" figure, or the SS LSB. I am thinking this is probably the best overall piece, even though I love the LSB.

If you guys could only buy one of these, which would you buy? (please don't say the SS maquette or Cinemaquette, as I cannot afford thousands of dollars for one piece).

If I had to choose one of those that you mentioned, I'd go with this.

Cinemaquette is my personal favorite, though.

I personally prefer the Sideshow maquette over the Cinemaquette, just in terms of overall look. Personally, I think the proportions on the maquette are more accurate too. However, the reason I say I won't consider either one is because of their prices. I would never spend that much on one statue, it's just too rich for me.

well I think it would be cheaper then $1k because the original maquette had Stan Winstons name on it. Possibly $500 - $600 for a 1:4 scale of SSC decides to make another one......

The X-Men, Batman and gallery and LOTR have that title. I would love a decently priced collectible though, which is why I was thinking this statue at $299, the LSB at $349 or the NECA at $80-100.

Just think as this as a Venom or Soulfire Grace purchase. It will be worth the price if the sculpt detail is there.

I really like this statue. The Ex is a must. The thing holding me back on ordering this is the Wolf Predator LSF. I'm a little miffed that SSC did not put it for order after they showed it at Spook. I want to know the price of that before making my decision on which one to order

Yah. I only want 1 predator and the wolf would be awesome mainly because of the alien base. It's sort of like getting 2 statues. I really hope SSC released the Wolf before the 1:5 predator sells out.
