backloG........because ! started collect!nG statues from NoV 2011......:panic:

if you are serious about collecting which seems you are, you should look into the services of those shipping companies in florida. Basically they give you a US shipping address which you can use to ship all the statues to, then they will ship it to you in bulk (or as they come depends on your cost structure) via boat, it's much much cheaper than direct shipping individual items from sideshow. I know quite a few guys who do it this way. Also this allows you to buy resale items as many only ships within US.

Downside is you have to wait to get your items.

That depends on the country and company, i do know many of them have streamlined process in place so custom fees etc..they all take care of. They essentially buys container space on those shipping boats heading to your country. It's definitely a lot cheaper than buying oversea air shipping per box from sideshow directly.

hmm, would like to know more from someone who actually uses this service, but i have feeling they could be retailers more than individual customers

From what I know, Sideshow offers the cheapest Intn'l shipping rates (special tie-up with Fedex, I guess?)

AFAIK, freight forwarders usually ask for 15-20% more than the normal Intn'l shipping rates and then there's always the risk of the piece getting damaged. In order to prevent that, one must insure the package for which the entire value has to be declared for customs :gah: (wouldn't make sense to insure it for less, would it?)

So for me, its only grails or certain must-have Exclusive items that'll come thru SS. For other pieces there's always CSC or SCC!! :D

Cheers,
Neo.

....:exactly:

and who shared this divine knowledge with U?:peace

Plain knowledge sir!
I was given a shipping quote by a freight forwarder that my friend often uses and I found it to be a bit high. When I compared that to quotes from CSC, it turned out to be 12% more. Just my experience Doctor! :peace

Cheers,
Neo.

The idea is to consolidate them into 1 shipment by sea, sideshow uses air shipping for all oversea orders. There is a big price difference. /shrug

So any idea if the final does include the spinal trophy?

It does look good other than the above imo.

even without the spine trophy, this is the best 1:5 predator released thus far including the eldar. Must buy for me, and the ex is a must.
