Yeah, I was surprised to hear so much negativity towards this piece. Of course I wish the paint job was cleaner and closer to the prototype statue pics we're comparing it to, but I don't think it's that bad really. I didn't touch up the pics at all and took them during the mid afternoon in my backyard, so hopefully aside from QC issues, everyone getting theirs will get something similar to what I got. I say give it a chance and see it in hand before deciding to cancel unless you're really just not liking anything about it that you're seeing in everyone's pics so far.

unmasked head is really cool, the masked one is just ok
i dont mind the statue looking slim, i think it just a artistic interpretaion and if predators ever existed they would maybe have a similar body structure, remeber in the movies its just a man in a suit lol

Yeah, I was thinking something similar. This is a statue that shows some dynamic motion/ pose. It has less of that suit look and makes him look more svelte and reptilian like! I just dig it! Like you said, an artistic interpretation of sorts!

unfortunately mine came with a whoe lot of damages, sucks,i hope sideshow can send me out the replacement parts

im not counting on sideshow doing a classic predator in 1/4 scale since they already made one, never seen them make a same character in same scale or have they?? excluding the variants of course

Awful paint. Now, when seeing it with the HT and NECA - Crown too dark, and the body is...yellow????
The Yellow Predator.

Man...even though the 1/5 scale Predator is standing on a base I had no idea that a Sideshow 1/5 scale was quite that large! Like others this is going to be a pass for me but judging by the size now I really cannot wait to receive the 1/5 Wolf Predator...let's just hope the quality control and paint details are more on par (if he turns out anything like the pictures from Sideshow I'd say he will be perfect).
1/5 City Hunter come on Sideshow bring it on! :)

i do agree that the brown paint is a lil too dark and the supposed cream skin colour is a lil too yellowish, where do NECA get their painters from, sideshow should hire them lol

I think it looks great my only issue and i know its and old old one, but the more i look at it i cant help thinking why did they not just make 1/4 scale to go with Dutch.

You guys are really reaching.

Could someone who has this please answer my question about the mandible? My question and image is up top. I think I see it in emarae's image as well, but I'm not sure.

I don't have it, but can clearly see the line in your pic. Now, do YOU think it's normal? Is it normal for a high end statue to show mold lines?
It should NOT be there.

I dunno... I know this statue is far from perfect, but I actually like it and will most likely touch it up later on to make it a bit more pleasing to my eye. Maybe lighten up the armor, add some spots, touch up the netting perhaps. But I'm actually okay with it it and I guess I'm also one of the lucky ones since mine didn't have any damage or other QC problems. In my unboxing video, I missed the skull trophies, so I thought I'd take my Pred out again to take some pics with the trophies on. I also took some comparison pics with my 1/4 scale Neca Pred and my 1/6 scale Hot Toys Pred.

These pictures look great! I'm glad I choose not to cancel my order. Can't wait to add this to my collection.

Im not sure about the mandible i would have to go back and look at mine but i know the dreads on mine had mold lines...

I had thought about picking this piece up but after seeing these in hand pics, I am glad I didn't. The paint apps are not screen accurate, it's missing important trophies, the pose is terrible, and anytime a figure like the Neca Pred looks more screen accurate and has better paint apps at 1/3 the cost of the statue, the statue is a fail anyway you cut it imo.

Sideshow could have and should have done better at this price point.

Cmon, I really dont think it's that bad. I understand needing to justify a cancelation, but some of these posts do not describe what is represented in those pictures up top

The only thing viper was wrong about was the price. Original retail was about $72 each delivered for the Neca piece. This SS piece is inaccurate from the tip of its toes to the top of its crown. I think the tread is going the other way with peeps making excuses for Sideshow to feel better about their purchase. IMO there is no need to do that.
Like it? Keep it.
But I just don't understand how any P1 fan with a keen eye can like it. There are so many awesome predator Collectibles to choose from there is no need to settle.
This one is terrible plain and simple. Disappointing yes, but there is always something awesome on the horizon for predator collectors. Hold out. Save your money. And when garbage is produced vote with your wallet and demand better.

Wait a minute. The Cinemaquette is the most inaccurate, yet the most expensive and most desired.

finally received it, the paint on this statue is a ****ing embarrassment and i dont mean just the netting. Also the cheap plastic blades make it look like a hasbro figure.

The whole thing is a ****ing joke, getting returned to sideshow next week.

I am done with this pred 1/5 line.
