finally received it, the paint on this statue is a ****ing embarrassment and i dont mean just the netting. Also the cheap plastic blades make it look like a hasbro figure.

The whole thing is a ****ing joke, getting returned to sideshow next week.

I am done with this pred 1/5 line.

It's posts like yours that remind me why I cancelled.
My money will probably go towards Dutch.
Sorry it turned out bad for you and hope you don't lose any money.

Glad to see some people who actually like it. I think a lot of people here a really nit picky! Which is good because it will raise the bar of what things need to look like. But seeing some of these new pics I think the statue looks great!

I am one of the few who purchased the beserker predator. I think he looks great in my collection.

Wrong. What I meant was it's silly to all of a sudden cancel over "accuracy" issues, when it more or less looks like it always did on the product page (with worse paint apps, of course).

I owned the CM for years and only sold it when I moved to a new house. It's a very nice piece. But one shouldn't use accuracy when it comes to assessing Predators. Every company has made them different. The most accurate is probably the original 1:1 bust and Maquette. Everything else has been someone else's interpretation.

I never said I was happy with the piece. I believe it's overpriced for the level of quality. But that is basically Sideshow in the nutshell right now. If this were $50-100 less it would be about right. I haven't seen many statues that look as nice in person as they do on the SS site.

Agree with you there, they are for sure not 100 % accurate but still great pieces. As mentioned prior i really dont think anyone has nailed the unmasked p1 yet. I guess it comes down to some people are bothered by sculpts being not 100% and i can understand that. But gotta realize even the ones that are really desired are not 100% either.

Nope passed on the HT pred for that reason. Passed on CM for price. Dont like the face on it but everything else is beautiful.

i will only consider a predator piece as accurate if there is a accurate figure with all details of kevin peter hall inside the predator,yes, u should be able to remove the predator mask and see his face, that for me will be the most accurate predator statue

I've been dying for monster statues like that. But of course, I'm also thinking classics, like a mid makeup Frankenstein, or Chaney applying the London After Midnight prosthetics.

An accurate representation can be done. Sideshow has done it twice. Neca/Tankman has done it too. I am waiting for the forth. I am confident sooner or later Sideshow and Hot Toys will pull of the forth and fifth screen accurate P1.

Poor paint application made me cancel then to hear about the issues with bits either not fitting correctly or having to be forced in made me glad I made that decision.
I'll wait for a 1:4 PF to accompany Dutch.

I have my doubts if they will ever do a P1 PF. They have the license, they have the market, but they keep releasing 1/6, 1/2, 1/5 and a 1/3 Wolf which is too expensive.

Can they just do a 1/4 scale Predator Premium Format for around $500 bucks?????

if i was nitpicking, i wouldnt purchased a single sideshow statue. This is not nitpicking, the paint and quality on this is far below the regular sideshow level, which isnt that high to begin with. It's as if some 6 yearold kid just took a brush and started painting this, you can almost see the brush strokes. Nevermind airbrushing, different shades of color, or highlighting any details on the armor.

The much smaller scale (and cheaper) original p1 + p2 statues, as well as the avp dio pred are all excellent with detailed clean paint. There is absolutely no excuse this $300 20" pred that is the introduction piece to the new 1/5 series should turn out like this.

Cant believe noone at sideshow looked at the **** they are churning out and said hold on a minute.

Almost a year of waiting and this is what we get, lame...

Yeah the wrist blades suck! Too big and they're made of cheap plastic. SS really went cheap on this statue. Plus the missing spine trophy? One less thing they have to make and can save money on. Lazy paint apps. They probably told the workers... "Just get it done." If SS doesn't replace my body I'll probably be sending thîs back...

You are probably right. They might be holding on so they can sell all these other stuff, but at the same time if they put a 1/4 Predator they wouldn't have to release all these other stuff that make them look bad...

The 1/5 line is out.... Predator bust 1and 2 are out....1/3 scale classic and Wolf maquettes were released..... Life size classic Pred, Berserker, Wolf and Predalien are also out..... And lots if 1/6 scales...

WHAT ELSE ARE THEY WAITING FOR?????
