Glad I can save myself $210 and can just get the Hasbro version. I assume this is just parts of C-3PO painted black and just as cheap/light weight too.

We shouldn't assume anything. But you're probably right. Either way I'm surprised you're passing on this one WWEJedi. If I had to get rid of my entire collection and only have one set of figures, it would be the Bounty Hunters, and of course this would mean the very best available. Sideshow's 4-Lom will be a beauty to behold I'm sure.

The Hasbro Bossk Headsculpt is not bad and even the outfit can be tweaked, and the Hasbro Dengar can really be made into a pretty damn nice figure as many customs have proven, but the Hasbro 4-LOM is not Hasbro's finest hour. The head really is pretty poor. The Sideshow headsculpt is incredible.

With a $20 off code, this is pretty decent deal, even though I'll still probably be waiting for in-hand pics. While robots and aliens SSC rarely messes up, with the prices they charge you really have to wait for pics of what you're getting.

Hmm, for some reason this figure just doesn't seem to look nearly as impressive or badass as he does in the movie. It appears like he needs a whole lot more weathering and perhaps to be a bit glossier as well. And making the silver wires in the middle a lot brighter and shinier would probably help it pop a lot more too. And the eyes also seem way too green, at least for how it appeared in the movie:

Hey, don't judge him just because he takes a bath from time to time.

Yeah, I actually thought the SSC eyes were a light-up feature - in most of the pics they look like it's internal green lighting. Thought maybe SSC had taken a little creative license given 4-LOM is a little weird (alien head on droid body or droid with insect/alien looking robot head?)

Even though the Medicom is inferior to the SSC release, Medi did nail the head color scheme pretty well in terms of matching onscreen and their wires are a very bright silver against black.

What's also interesting to see on the various larger incarnations of 4-LOM (Koto, GG, Medicom, Hasbro and now SSC) is how they depict the red mark on his chest. It's unclear if it's supposed to be an emblem along the lines of Fett's logos or a (very oddly shaped and very prominent) red splotch of paint. Some companies make it clean like it's supposed to be a logo/emblem, others make it a random paint brush mark.

Droid with insect looking robot head is correct. He was designed to serve insectoid species.

According to EU he has green photoreceptors (eyes). So that green is accurate. The color of plating really not so much, i would like to see a bit of rusty texture.

I really like this figure!

Unfortunately for the amount of time he spent on screen, I can't bring myself to order it. Being from Canada there are too many extra charges and fees. With free shipping not offered to me as an insentive the shipping and custom fees add up.

Missing out on this isn't a big deal for me. I only have Fett in my collection. I'd have more of the hunters in my collection if SS would've done the entire bounty hunter line with a more continuous release schedule. Leaving years in between gives a person time to lose interest.

That's because they got the eye colours backwards.

Interesting you posted that shot. Here's what the actual screenshot from the movie looks like. This is from Harmy's ESB 2.0.

The eyes look much more green there.:lol

I think the level of green SSC has used is an attempt to reboot the look of the character but not quite as far as what they did with Bossk (where they didn't just create a snarling look, they redesigned his head.) When you look at the SSC pics, it still sort of looks like it's lit from within with green light or supposed to look like it's lit from within.

Redoing the brightness of the silver in the wires would help with the likeness overall, though the sheen of the SSC body looks about right to me - seems somewhere between matte and shiny.

Heads up for the EU collectors - i spoke with my local retail store owner and he said this figure probably will not be available in eu stores. Figures which are SSC exclusive and in limited amount are often not going to distribution for another stores. Or only very small amount much later. So there is risk figure will sold out before that.

I hope this is made available to my local SSC distributor... I will be the first to make preorder.:lol

It says only on Sideshow.com so I'm not taking any chances and waiting for a local supplier to maybe get it.

Btw guys, do you know how much is shipping to Europe in these days?

With a LE of just 2000 pieces, will 4-LOM really be around long enough to use a code on? For that matter, has SS ever -numbered- a Star Wars sixth scale figure like this to a specific edition?
