I didn't darken the statue just underexposed it on the camera and shot it on the darker side away from the light. No potatoshop was used just straight out of the SD card.

Perhaps the edition size was too high for this piece after all. This shouldn't be selling for 20% off retail so soon. Same goes for so quickly becoming gift card status as well. It isn't exactly encouraging moving forward towards the next $800 piece.

Yeah, I'm always a bit apprehensive now on ordering things that I think may be a bit less after initial shipping. I thought I secured a great deal on this one through a dealer, at more than $100 off, and was happy to be able to make payments toward the piece. But now I see so many have picked this up for less.

In the end I'm probably going to blow all my rewards points on the imminent Alien maquette, and then find I could have got it for less anyway down the line. Still, looking forward to that reveal. Hopefully for SDCC.

I don't think the ES is high. This has happened multiple times with the high dollar collectibles. They come out. They're cheap. They sit at Sideshow forever....sometimes even on the GC eligible list. Then all of the sudden...they're all sold out and you can't find one anywhere....and the price climbs. This piece is done way too nicely for it not to become a desired piece. Hell....I got one...and i'm far from an "Aliens" fan. I just loved the pics I saw in this thread.

hey people,
is the box size for the aliens marquette as big as the alien queen dio? the reason i ask is i get all my stuff delivered to work(less hassle about wasting money). and getting a box delivered the size of the queen dio would behard to transport home.
