What? Just tossing my opinion into the basket. It is a message board, after all.

Oh...Nothing...I was just thinking as I wrote that.....I had my hand on my chin and all... LOL

I've been thinking about that too and it is not easy to cancel things but necessary if I want Alien Warrior...

Thanks for your input Master...

Today I received a rather nasty beast, whom seems to be in perfect condition.:yess:

As an Alien fan, I can say this maquette is well worth the money. It's perfect to go alongside the other maquettes, which I don't own yet.:(

Anyway, here are some pics of #223.

Here's a pic I manipulated a little, to give it a more "Alien" feel.

Here is my younger brother standing beside the maquette, to give you a sense of scale.

Here is where he'll reside, until I can find a better place for him.

Agreed, one of my favorites in my humble collection. Almost makes me want to ditch the diorama line, but I know I would only make money on the Aliens one, and take a beating on the rest. Maybe one day when space begins to run out, or when the Alien maquette arrives...

Nice photos guys keep em coming. Another couple months wait for me. Cannot get here soon enough.

I want this piece so bad.....

I've been thinking about canceling Rocketeer and Gandalf and/or Mola and get this instead.....

Good idea or not?????

Dump the GtG EX so mine converts! Enjoy your alien!

Hehe just kiddin. Thats a tough decision. I think there will be plenty of Rocketeer to be had after shipping. GtG ex might be a little harder. The hatless is a little more iconic than most of the exclusives out there...and some people consider it a must have for that piece.

I got mine for an amazing price, but not without fatalities......

I gave up my Iron man 1/4 scale busts, TOD Indy and Gandalf the Grey PF exclusive. I figured that Gandalf had the most ES of the other ones I had on order like Rocketeer and Mola PFs so I can get it later and TOD probably will have a high ES

I hope Alien Warrior Maquette is as good as people say it is and I won't regret it....

Anyone know the exact height measurement for this guy?

Bottom of the base to the highest point of the statue.

Thanks in advance :)

Can someone tell me if this thing fits in a 13.5" deep glass cabinet? Sideshow's measurments arent very accurate.

I review of my AWM...

Let's start from the beginning....the box. One of the things I like about Sideshow is the art work on the boxes. I don't think any other collectible company spend the time and money to make on the artwork on the box to sure their collectors get the best for their money. AWM box is beautiful and applaud the Graphics Dept again for the effort they put to make us go "Wow!!!"

As usual, the packing is great. Such a fragile piece and there were no breakages of scratches anywhere....

The base.....In my humble opinion, a great choice for the base. It shows the industrial part of the movie, and has little details like the corrosion caused by the acid of the Alien blood. It doesn't take away from the piece at all and add that extra thing to the overall piece...

The Alien itself is a piece of art. He is not very heavy which it was a relief. The paint job is great and kind of reminds me of Species Maquette but better....

The detail on the mouth is amazing. The paint job really gives you that metal effect and there is a lot of detail....

Picture083.jpg

Okay...I know this looks bad but there is where the tail attaches to the body..... The tail has a thick metal peg that was very hard to attach. It took me a few tries before I could attach it properly. I was so afraid that it was going to break but finally I was able to do it without damages. Just be very careful and very patient. It will be okay....

The piece has so many details that you can be looking at it for a while and see something different here and there all the time. It is an amazing sculpture and it is worth the $799 they ask for. The paint job gets a 9 for I thought it would be a bit glossier like the proto pics but the sculpture gets a 10 for the detail and the pose. I put it up higher in the shelf because it looks like it is ready to jump.

It is going on Ebay for about $650 or so right now but I think it will be a high collectible piece in a few years and I believe that it will double in price. Regardless of how valuable it will be, if you are a huge Alien fan, this is a must.

A video review will be up today at
BEAR REVIEWS.....

Cheers

Wow, that picture makes everything look so small, but when I look at my Alien it looks so huge. Can you put a person in that photo for scale?
