The tail on mine was really hard to get in - not looking forward to the day I have to remove it. Guess it will have to stay there forever. :D

Nice review, sure is a beauty of a statue. Great collection you have there too.

Ok Ok.....I just freaken caved and ordered one of these. I have 100 SS gift cards burning a hole in my pocket. Hope Im blown away for $800......or im sueing SS.

Chris

I caved the same way. One of my favorite peices in my collection. I just had to have something bad ass from Aliens. This is it next to the 1:1 Alien Warrior.

Cool man, I really love mine... It's the only 1/4 scale statue I've got, so it looks real impressive with all my other stuff.

If you liked it enough to order you should be pretty happy with him. Needs to sit up high, best viewed when you're looking up a bit.

I hope so guys, my track record of dud pieces from SS is extensive. Hell, I will soon be destroying my Hulk comiqutte any day now. I really hope SS sends me a good one.

Cheers man! I think I posted a whole heap more of that outdoor set somewhere further back in this thread.

The gloss showed up nicely in that light. Great statue.

Ya he really looks bad A#& outside in natural light. Anything you dont like about it to much? Like weight, hight, paint..ect ect

Chris

This is a beautiful statue. I don't own it myself, but did catch a glimpse of it at my LCS. The pics don't get across how big this piece really is...

I guess since I have lived with this piece for awhile now, the size does not seem as huge to me anymore. And I'm still impressed with the fact that the packaging for this piece was smaller than that for the Queen diorama. But, when I had company for Thanksgiving, their eyes went straight to the Aliens maquette, and said something like, "Damn, that thing is big." So I guess it does have a certain presence to it. I guess, to, because each year they visit, my collection room morphs into larger and larger pieces.

The sculpt on the feet is pretty soft, meaning not much detail... Other than that I can't really complain about anything.

*edit* Oh yeah, the tail was really hard to attach to the body - just be careful when you put it on.
