I honestly think this was bad move on SSC's part to not cash in on the hype of the movie initially. This should be up for PO by now.

Spider-Man is Spider-Man. He'll sell. Sure. But hype can't hurt sales.

True but I remember asking months ago would this make it in time for the film release and SSAlex said it just wasn't ready.

I know there's licensing time frames, approvals, design challenges, etc, that can make a piece take longer. Who knows how far in advance or not they got the "ok" to even do this statue, we've seen it takes SS years to develop any given statue, I'm sure they had less time with this one. Plus with Igo saying this one is fully cloth, even the mask, boots and gloves, it seems just the eyes and base aren't cloth here, it's the most cloth they've ever used on a PF costume, I'm guessing it was just too much to figure out and do before the movie came out.

The movie is still in theaters though, and there's still the home video release to capitalize on. Not only that, since this costume is close enough to the comic version for most people, for many it won't even matter as long as this looks good they'll buy it any time. We probably couldn't say the same if this was the costume from the 1st movie in this series.
