1/6 Sideshow ASH - Evil Dead 2

I have $140 in RP that I was originally gonna use on the deadpool premium format but now I'm almost debating using it on this.....

The production head looks better than the prototype... it looks like it's the same sculpt, so not sure if it's the paint work or if it's slightly reshaped; but I can totally see Bruce Campbell here where I struggled before. I'm pretty impressed and glad I sold my custom

Looking better than expected. Much better sculpt and paint than Hoth Han, x wing Luke, Indy, Uncharted Drake or Snake Pliskin to name a few fails.

It helps that they stopped using the insterted eyes... those really messed up sculpts (like Hoth Han, Hoth Han and Drake) since they didn't fit really well and the eye plate would distend the jaw line.

This looks like both a really solid sculpt and paint job... it does look like the right eye is wonky (iris if flat on one side and the pupil is off center), but hopefully that's just an issue for this particular figure, and not all of them.

Why does Hottoys not use a seamless body for this type of figure? I'm not a big fan of how the torso looks. Granted everything else looks great.

Because we don't want our figures rubber cracking over time. The body is PERFECT the way it is and needs to be the standard for ALL 1/6 figures as far sculpted plastic bodies.Yes,seamless looks good,but it suffers from the rubber (soon to dry rot) skin

Wow incredible. I will say the head sculpt doesn't match Bruce 100% but still looks damn good.

It's hard to tell from the photo but it looks like they used a different body. The proto had that plissken body with those weird stomach teeth right?

I don't have Snake to know for sure... but Ash still has the chest fangs-



I honestly think he looks so good though that I can let them slide.

Ok so it's still there after all. Not problem or anything but i remember some people didn't like it. I wasn't expecting this to turn out good, now i have to try and splurge for this.

I'm quite happy with it. Wasn't sold on the prototype head, but I pre-ordered it immediately since it was Ash. Glad it turned out, though!

Those chest gangs are odd... but it's a good base body. I've bought a few for customs and they're really well made.

That looks great! To me seems like the made the face longer which made it look a lot more like Campbell glad I pre ordered this!

I'm not quite sure why there's a white bit of fabric above the chainsaw though? If that's the nub it should of been separate.

After ash chops off his hand, he wraps it in bandages and duct tapes it off. That's just the bandages.
