Sideshow Bith 'Modal Nodes' Cantina Band

The link that shows up at the top of Sideshow's homepage says:

"A Bith Band Leader Will Be Playing At A Galaxy Near You!
Preview Figrin D'an 12-inch Figure."

I assume that this means next weeks preorder is just for Figrin D'an, even though after you click on the link the preview pic has them them all.

That's what I'm thinking. It will be like the Sandtroopers and Cobra Troopers. Which is actually kinda lame. If they're doing 4 separate Bith Band Members, just release them at once. These are not "Army builder" type figures. Completely different mindset.

I don't see them doling these out slowly. I think the idea someone else had about doing Figrin Dan stand alone and then a set of three makes sense. Personally I would like to get all four, so I'm fine with however they do it...so long as the price is reasonable.

I am unimpressed with them. The idea of 4 identical figures in which you feel some how obligated to have a set, kind of sucks. Plus I just do not find them interesting never really have. Now give me a Sy Snootles. So the completest in me wants them but the price is going to be a major factor, although I am not holding out much hope on any good deals price wise.

I hope you guys like them. This was one of the projects Sideshow sent to me for paint. These were a blast. I very much enjoyed assembling and painting all the different instruments.

True, it seems weird to need four or five identical figures, but that's pretty much what the band in the movie was, so for those of us who want to see the band recreated in 1/6, this is awesome!

I don't know the release plan, but it seems they want to release the leader separately, and the rest as a four pack, but that's just speculation. I did paint five different instruments.

I hope Tech comes with the chair.

Tedn Dahai - Fanfar
Tech Mo'r - Ommni Box
Nalan Cheel - Bandfill
Linn Car'n - Kloo Horn

But in the cantina there were only 5 and that must be what they are going with here.

Technically, Lirin Car'n was shown at a table in the Cantina and the other 6 on stage. Since he was more of a backup member, I guess you'd really only need 6 but I'd like to get him just for the cantina scene to be complete.

Given this info, I'm thinking they are going to be the same characters as the Disney Cantina 3 3/4 offering.

That leaves out Tedn Dehai w/fanfar for the onstage 6 and Lirin Car'n out in the crowd in an entirely different wardrobe. Hopefully, they'll give D'an a full compliment of instruments since he is the one that actually owned them. If so, then you'd have an extra fanfar and could just order 2 regular D'ans to fill out the onstage band and have the extra figure (with a customized wardrobe of course) to have Lirin Car'n.

If you look closely...you actually can see all seven members in Chalmun's Cantina.

However...I do not kid myself that whether there are 5, 6, or 7 members really makes zero difference.


That being said...I am stillgetting and displaying all 7.

And if Figrin Dan comes with the string drum as an exclusive...I am gonna be a happy camper.
