If you read what I stated...when I started collecting..sideshow was about $50 a figure..at the time Medicom was $120...and last I checked Vader was over that...so the gap has closed...I was referring to why I got into sideshow in the first place. I am glad you like Thrawn...but as an overall you were in a small crowd..thus the small edition size. And you may think they are all great business decisions..but the real reason we dont have certain figures is because they didnt know how to create them and it was easier to just dress up body types they already had so there was not a huge bill for production....why we have 14 different Lukes.

Look, that's a completely unfair comparison. You can't compare what Vader costs now to what Medicom cost 5+ years ago, that's absurd. On average the SW figs run about $90. Now compare that to Medicom's current price of $180. There's a HUGE gap and it ain't closing any time soon. :lol

I'm not a big fan of Thrawn, despite what you think. I enjoyed the novels and will be picking him up for my wife (who loved him), but as a character, I just never got into him and if not for her interest, would've passed on him. What I'm saying is, don't get your panties in a bunch because every figure released isn't what you want. Is it okay to like the figures you do? Absolutely. But don't discredit the others. If there's money to be had creating EU figures for the "small crowd" who has every right to get the figures they want as you do. Sideshow is smart for doing so. They're catering to everyone, not just the closeminded elitists who think anything outside of the films is rubbish. It brings in more customers and that's never a bad thing.

Additionally, I'm certainly glad they're doing EU figures. The more the merrier. I'd hate to think of the incessant whining that'd be plaguing this board if there hadn't been any improvements between CloneObi and the Stormtroopers. The more figures they make, the more opportunities they have to fine tune everything. If they hadn't been making the figures they had, likely we would've gotten a ^^^^ty Vader on a stiff buck (if at all). Instead, look what we got.

Cant speak for you..but I dont wear panties...and what I was saying is, I dont want them or us to keep saying..well in the future..in the future...because there is no garuntee Sideshow will be around forever. As for the figures...the last few I have no been interested in..I only collect original Tril guys...but I dont care..I dont get upset..just means less money I have to spend.

Here, here!

I agree about the consistent fine tuning that is happening with each successive release,,,I like the Stormtrooper, but the Clone trooper is an even bigger leap forward. And Vader is amazing...imagine how much better the ESB or ROTJ versions are going to be with what they've learned from this one.

Im passing on a lot more SW these days than I ever thought I would...but when one comes along I'm interested in (yeah I'm talkin' about you Cody!) I'm hoping that by the time they get to them. the improvements will really be something to behold...and when the Fetts arrive, well...I think Sideshow will be more than ready.

Makes sense for them to wait, keep people interested in the line long-term. Sucks, but what are you gonna do? Guess I'll just wait patiently.

So the Preimum Format Boba Fett is not good enough for you?

Ugh, some people want actual action figures here, not statues. ;)

Truly undestand, I'm also surprised that they have not made a Boba Fett yet. Maybe they just expect you to by the Medicom one. Hopefully they will make it good once they do it. :banana

Funny, because just today I received my Medicom Boba Fett that I traded from fellow freak drakEP4 and don't regret it either. This Fett will do for now until we get the Sideshow one, whenever that happens, of course.

I had the RAH Medicom Vader and sold it. I was really not that impressed with it.

So, the Sideshow 12 inch Vader looks much better that the Medicom? I only have a SS 12" Maul and ESB Han, but have never taken them out of the box.

Sideshow's Fett will easily be better than the Medicom version, of that I have no doubt. That's based on their recent armor releases of Vader and Utapau Clone -- both these guys surpass anything Medicom has put out, IMHO.

I'd say within 12 months we'll see one of the Fetts. I'll be patient even if it's a little longer -- I have customized Marmit Fett and he's doing fine keeping the shelf warm for the Sideshow version.

Yes, it's THAT much better. Maulfan put up comparison photos of medivader to sideshow vader on the first couple of pages of the Vader photo thread.

Despite SS recent efforts with the Vader, clones & stormtroopers I still fear the helmet will be off much like the them, on the Armoured figures the helmet is the most important detail for me. I know I will like the scale & overall look of the figure once done, but have a nagging doubt about it as well

If you're the type of person who's gonna get bent over Stormtrooper teeth, then yeah, there's a possibility. But then, odds of you being happy about anything are nil. However, if you'd just rather enjoy the toy and realize that while it's not 100% accurate to the 1:1 version, when compared to the rest it's the best of what's out there, I wouldn't worry.

Well said

i swear to god, if ssc puts out yet ANOTHER empire boba figure, i'm just gonna have it repainted.
seems like there hasn't been a jedi 1:6 boba since the 1st hasbro one.

thats because ROTJ Boba sucks. who wants to remember the Fett when he got put down like a little ^^^^^^? ESB Fett and SE Fett are easily the better versions of the costume.

I do like the green gauntlets/matching jetpack of the EB version, but isn't the SE pretty much the same as RotJ?
