If you read what I stated...when I started collecting..sideshow was about $50 a figure..at the time Medicom was $120...and last I checked Vader was over that...so the gap has closed...I was referring to why I got into sideshow in the first place. I am glad you like Thrawn...but as an overall you were in a small crowd..thus the small edition size. And you may think they are all great business decisions..but the real reason we dont have certain figures is because they didnt know how to create them and it was easier to just dress up body types they already had so there was not a huge bill for production....why we have 14 different Lukes.
Look, that's a completely unfair comparison. You can't compare what Vader costs now to what Medicom cost 5+ years ago, that's absurd. On average the SW figs run about $90. Now compare that to Medicom's current price of $180. There's a HUGE gap and it ain't closing any time soon.

I'm not a big fan of Thrawn, despite what you think. I enjoyed the novels and will be picking him up for my wife (who loved him), but as a character, I just never got into him and if not for her interest, would've passed on him. What I'm saying is, don't get your panties in a bunch because every figure released isn't what you want. Is it okay to like the figures you do? Absolutely. But don't discredit the others. If there's money to be had creating EU figures for the "small crowd" who has every right to get the figures they want as you do. Sideshow is smart for doing so. They're catering to everyone, not just the closeminded elitists who think anything outside of the films is rubbish. It brings in more customers and that's never a bad thing.
Additionally, I'm certainly glad they're doing EU figures. The more the merrier. I'd hate to think of the incessant whining that'd be plaguing this board if there hadn't been any improvements between CloneObi and the Stormtroopers. The more figures they make, the more opportunities they have to fine tune everything. If they hadn't been making the figures they had, likely we would've gotten a ^^^^ty Vader on a stiff buck (if at all). Instead, look what we got.
