The RotJ cuts through the upper tusk tube and runs along the top of the bottom one, splitting them and leaving one on the upper face and one on the neck piece, whereas the ESB is cut above the upper tusk tube, leaving both tubes down on the bottom neck piece.

Red line shows the ESB cut and the green line show the RotJ cut.

I had a feeling they'd be doing the ESB reveal version --
Wonder if Hot Toys at some future point will do a straight up Jedi Version...

I like this though - I don't think ESB reveal ever been done in a licensed item...beyond just showing the back of the skull with the mask still on.

That severed hand is Jedi, so I'm hoping they'd be doing complete accessories for both movies in this version.

Don't think there's a way for SS to call this strictly ESB or ROTJ, not with the severed hand. They said it was going to be a combo and it is, helmet reveal style like ESB, severed hand like in ROTJ and who knows what else will from one movie or the other.

I'm just happy this is looking so good right now. The reveal is just going to be

Agreed if they make a perfect vader with enough parts and extras to make a ESB AND ROTJ all I can say is holy crap. If most people are like me then 2 vaders minimum most likely and EX and a REG or 2 EX......do you think they would give me a discount if I bought a case of vaders? LOL

Recently the ANH Vader has gone higher than the PF in many cases. That is assuredly going to plummet once this is up to order. It'll stay above retail but I doubt by much considering how much R&D is going into this and how much knitpicking there was with the ANH version.

If you feel no attachment to it sell it for the money but even my second hand ANH vader I had to reassemble and fix from the careless previous owner I would never sell I personally would never sell.

wow-i had hoped we would get the reveal vader fromTESb and this is it.So.i wonder if we will get the headsculpt with the dome that is a 2 for 1 TESB and ROTJ reveal.
Pondering if the EXC will be the severed hand AND.......Meditation TESB environment-im calling it now.
