I just spoke with my Glenn , we used a 20th century fox ESB helmet we have as direct reference , the base was the kaiyodo mask, once , but it is fair to say that the currently used masks are a far cry from that now.As for other parts , ANH and ESB / Jedi chest boxes masters were made from scratch as were all belt buckle version using brass etched parts, belt boxes too were scratch made for all versions . If you ,sir, are still of the opinion that its 'just some kit parts' feel free to view his photobucket , for proof.

This the best I can find

This is what apparently has been done to the original kit part
New neck area has bump (seen from side) where chin would be, flare on the right hand side added
Entire helmet tilts down the left Brow vents remodelled and fitted flush, brass etched brow and crown details. Curve down on right cheek edge and curve up on left , resized /positioned mouth , different sized eye sockets dependant on movie, new chin vents , new profiling of chin/neck seam, multi piece brass etched actuators left and right . Entire casting increased in size slightly using hydrospan stuff . I apologise for my vigorous defence of Glenn's vaders but I know how much work goes into them

Mrs h. No need to apologise. Glen has many many fans here. But if everyone agree it would be a bit boring- wouldn't it?

Never once did I say he didn't rework them. I said the source parts are from the Kaiyodo kit and Hasbro figure - and that is still visible even after all the rework. There's no need to defend him or apologize for explaining what he did to the pieces and what he scratchbuilt, as I'm not knocking his creations, nor doubting what he did, as I've followed his progress for years. He's done very nice work based on the reference he's had available.

As I have no 1/6 Vader in my collection I'm super pumped to get this guy into my detolf standing by his masters side. That will be one badass display.

I can't wait to see the Anakin head sculpt, bring on 2014.

Pre-ordered and paid in full. I've never owned a Vader figure before so I think this will be a great first one. :yess:

devilof76's Vader looks amazing, but I've noticed the edges of his tunic are a bit ragged. I had the same problem with mine. If anyone's not tried it already, I suggest laying it on a flat surface and folding the edge in on itself. Then cut out thin strips of double sided tape and apply them to the inside of the folded part. This gives the edge a tidier appearance.

Also, to those struggling with folding and draping the tunic over the body, try using bulldog clips. They give the tunic some needed weight when you're trying to drape it and make the whole process a lot less fiddly.

I find your lack in sewing disturbing... :lol

They are generally pretty okay with release dates.

However, they do delay a fair amount of figures from time to time. If I recall correctly, the original Vader was delayed.
