I'd LOVE a beautifully shrunken down analogue of Prowse in the 1977 costume - warts & all. :huh

That's pretty much exactly how I explained my request to Hurricane back when he was still taking orders.

While I'm completely satisfied with my Hurricane Vader, I'm still getting this one to put with the Emperor and some Royal Guards (whenever Sideshow gets around to them, that is!) The Hurricane Vader will stay in the display with the Sideshow Stormtroopers.

Have you got any pics? I love hurricanes stuff, always regretted passing on/ not bidding aggressively enough on glens stuff.

Only the old shots from when I first got him. I've since replaced the cape with one that drapes better.

This was the last ANH Vader Glenn finished , it's got all the asymmetric issues of the prop pieces , wonky mask , off square chest box , off centre chest armor ridge etc etc , I don't think these photos have been seen before, the cape/robe I believe is by a forum member .

I assume there's some very good reason why Sideshow couldn't have offered us a NEW HOPE Vader that looked as amazing as that one. Probably some wonky-eyed employee at Lucasfilm turning it down in favor of the one we got.

I know there are many who own the Sideshow ANH Vader and love it, so I'm not trying to bash it, but for me, it just didn't work.

The ROTJ Vader, on the other hand, is looking decent. And for $250, it better be!

I'm sorry, I don't mean to be disrespectful, but using reworked Kaiyodo model kit and Hasbro dome pieces doesn't make them accurate. His stuff is very nice, but the hard parts are sourced from already available kits and figures that are very idealized compared to the full scale props.

I will correct you there, once maybe ten years ago , you'd be correct but since then I know , that virtually every part was made from scratch , belt boxes chest box etc , Glenn completely reworked the hasbro dome new profile the correct 'y' at the front correct width of central ridge , as for the kit parts used now only the shin armor is as it was, the mask has been completely redone , new cheeks, new mouth , pretty much all of it was reshaped or resculpted .to match each movies helmet , I know the brow details were chemically etched using scaled down templates of the real detail parts.i will try to find a kaiyodo screaming mask and ask for comparison photo to be found or taken

I have the Kaiyodo Vader and I can recognize the sculpt immediately. There's no doubt most of the hard parts are sourced from that vinyl model kit.

But seriously, I don't want to argue, as I don't want to appear to be bashing his work, which I find to be very nice. And he's done much work on the pieces to make things look a lot better, but the source pieces are what they are and those are still what is used.
