I'll be using the majority of the parts with the exception of the bodysuit, dome and ignited Lightsaber.
Originally, I was going to do a body swap and try to create an ANH version but I'm liking the way this ESB/ROTJ looks so much now that I'm just going to display the ESB/ROTJ version instead and forget about the ANH.
I want to try and enhance this new figure to its full potential though and for me, that means the body suit needs to be swapped and the dome too. (If the Hasbro dome is TOO big, I'll just have to do the dome mod that King Darkness did on his to adjust the angle that the dome sits on the mask).

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm curious what parts from this new figure you plan to re-use?

Thanks pixel.

Man, I can't wait to get both darth figures. Vader and malgus. Im not having vader face off Luke.

Nah man...I'm having both Sith Lords face off. That's some crazy $#!+ right there.

You probably could have come out of this with less expense by buying only the parts you need. Using a different body would produce a more correctly scaled Vader, and you wouldn't necessarily have to buy more than a few gloved hands, keeping the purchases to minimum quantity.

King how much of the inner helmet did you have to shave off to achieve your look?

OK....here's about where I went to. Then I round off the edges so the dome would sit better.

I would recommend anyone doing it do a little at a time till they get the desired height.

*EDIT* not my pic, taken by kirklondon.

Holy crap....

That's a sizable chunk. Can you post a pic of your figure? Can't really find it, don't know, which page to look for.

I just clicked a page at random and found the pics: https://www.sideshowcollectors.com/...-Darth-Vader&p=6460971&viewfull=1#post6460971

The whole helmet/head just looks wrong in other images without this mod.

OMFG, that scares me. :horror

I'm 99% sure I will get this figure with all the good pictures showing it off now, and I will have to do something about the dome, but I'm not sure I have ***** of the magnitude needed to cut off the head that much.

Thanks bud.

That definitely improves the overall look.

I'm in the same boat man. I'm wondering if its really an issue with the dome though. Is it placed too high or is the neck too long?

Either way, gotta figure it out when I get this dark lord in hand.

Wow, after observing kings pics...I am definitely gonna do that mod. It looks absolutely perfect.

I am convinced its not a neck height issue but a dome height issue.

I think both, plus the helmet shape/size isn't quite right either. But this one mod helps hide everything to some degree and is probably the single easiest one. In other words, the most bang for your buck.

Without the figure in hand, I don't really know how one would shorten/correct the neck without making cuts that end up being visible.
