Ok. I just noticed that my Dome/Mask head has two scratches down the center column forehead part. It looks like the scratches occurred prior to being painted. Worth asking for a replacement?

Mine is very noticeable, and after seeing pics of these pristine non battle damaged helmets, I don't regret contacting SSC.

What do y'all think?

battled scarred.............:yess:

would i keep at $250?.....................:nono

I just inspected my Vader and luckily no broken tusk or scratched dome. The bottom of my cape though looks like there's some very slight fraying, should I ask SSC for a replacement? Curious to see what the pristine replacement cape bottom looks like.

I wonder how many extra heads, domes, parts etc Sideshow has on hand for replacements?

Mine is arriving Friday, hopefully with no problems.

Thanks for the input folks. I have sent them an inquiry. This is the first time I have had to deal with the returns/exchanges department. :horror

I'd think we don't have to worry about replacement parts this early in the run.

If you were thinking about doing King's mod, Pixle, this helmet would be excellent fodder. Once SSC confirms they'll replace it, of course (which I'm sure they will -- those scratches are pretty bad).

That would be cool. Pretty sure they'll ask me to destroy it and provide pics though. :(
Yep, that's what I meant. Figured you could have a practice run on the damaged helmet, then destroy it for SSC's pics. Thought that might make a second attempt on the good helmet easier to get just right. I'm not very experienced w/modding or a Dremel, so that's what I'll be doing if mine's defective at all.
