i might as well just drive down the block to toys2 and buy it directly there. I was after the exclusive hand.

Do they have better in-store prices than they advertise on their site? I've never been there, but I used to work very close by for years. Just wondering if it's worth stopping by if I'm in the general vicinity.

If anyone in the UK wants to buy my Darth Vader, please pm me. As stated, it does have a small crease on the art box, and the Anakin head is crooked, with slight fraying on the hem of the cape. I just want to get my money back, so £250 includes free delivery.
If I were you, I'd get Sideshow to replace the HS and cape before trying to sell it. What kind of collector is going to buy it with that description? They may as well buy from SSC, themselves, and just pay the extra $10 for a packout.

Gah! :gah:

Same problem. Damn screw stripped on the helmet display. How am I going to get this thing off? :lol
I don't understand why SSC and HT still continue to use screws for the battery compartments at all. Any other electronic device I use has a compartment I can remove with my fingers. Wish they'd get rid of them altogether.

Just got an email from Sideshow that my replacement Vader helmet is on it's way. I really hope it was inspected and not just thrown in a box. I was able to create my own tusks using chrome finishing nails but there's nothing I can do about the scratch on the dome.

Nice. I'm waiting to hear from them for a cape replacement. I Inspected it closer and saw that mine was frayed on the side. How long did they take for them to send yours out? and also did they ask you to provide pics of you destroying your helmet? I never had anything replaced.

I just got the email today that it will be shipping out today. Once I receive and inspect it, I'm to destroy the old one and email pics.

I got on live chat with Christina and she helped expedite the process for me. She had me send pics directly to her so she could get them to the service department, making sure my request got immediate attention.

Oh nice, I went with the live chat route also but instead got a form to fill out. This morning I get a e-mail telling me that someone will get back to me in 3-5 . business days. Thanks for the info though, Now I know what I can expect to do.

Same here. I filled out the forms last night and this morning and got emails saying so-and-so had been assigned to my request and to expect a response in 3-5.

No excuse but not surprised there's been an issue with the tusks; they're so delicate.
No issues with mine apart from the crispy head sat crooked in the neck brace and some scratches on the base :( no biggie though I suppose

Did anyone get a bonus figure with theirs? I got the SS collectible care kit thrown in. Actually a really nice and handy little kit!

They told me that as well but I heard back in a day. The delay now is that they said it will take 7-10 days to ship the new head out. I at first thought they meant 7-10 days to get it but as I've heard nothing I know now for sure they meant 7-10'days to ship. At least it's being taken care of

No figure here. I did get yet another care kit, like you. I think I have a few now and a calendar also.

Can you describe the contents of the kit? Sounds nice.

I believe (if I remember correctly, not at home) it's a little pair of scissor, brush, tweezers, and lint roller.

Just got this figure. Got to say i was looking for any issues but it came with no defects. Definately worth the money imo. Just waiting on the mythos vader to finish the collection.

Does anyone offhand know the type or the size of batteries that the chest Lite up feature uses? Mine is not working after I tried removing the plastic tab.

Placed an order for Vader a few hours ago after seeing Rory's pics and I had a lot of reward points to use too. And it's already been dispatched! Hope he arrives with no issues. Should have him Wednesday.

The figure I have here is 353mm from heel to dome. Feet, knees, hips & head are in their sockets. :dunno

I do know how to use steel rule too. I can even say it right. :dance

Thank you- sounds nifty. I hope the lint roller is 1/6 scale... that would create an hilarious display option for Vader... having him rolling lint off his robes... LOL

Hmm, I really wonder what's going on. That's just a hair over 13 7/8", more than 3/8" taller than the 13.5" a number of people have reported, and measured in a very precise fashion from their description.
