agree. the dome fail on the first one should've already been a lesson to them. im not spending for yet another vader that i need to modify yet again. ill just probably be on the lookout for that base and replacement HS over at evilbay

Thanks for the advise. I've been signed up since Jedi Luke was announced years ago.

It just seems strange that we get the sneek peek pictures before SDCC, then he is displayed there and still no pre-order. Typically we should have been able to place orders within a week or two after SDCC. Unless they are waiting for their halloween event or the black/white event in the fall.

Thanks I just wonder If Hot Toys will ever do a Vader, I thought since they are doing the bespin Luke we may see a Vader down the line from Hot Toys. So that's why I have been holding out, but it looks like this SS 2.0 version is the best we are going to get. Does anyone know if Hot Toys will make a Vader? Or if Sideshow will release a Vader Premium format 2.0?

In regards to Hot Toys, if SSC allowed them to do a Vader, it would be the ANH version, since Sideshow's already done it. Even so, that would be years away. They've already announced that their next SW releases will be (in no particular order) Han Solo and Anakin Skywalker, followed, I believe, by an unnamed Ep II character. Say for argument's sake that ANH Vader is the next one after that. At HT's current pace, that's 3 or 4 years away. Not worth missing out on Sideshow's ESB/ROTJ Vader in the meantime, I'd say.

Yeah, HT are doing so many SW figs. How many have been announced since July of LAST YEAR? Total deluge. I'm sure we'll be holding our HT Vaders at this time next year!

Hm, good point, devil. Maybe there's a chance they'll focus on SW a bit once Avengers, TDKR and (to a much lesser extent) ASM are out of the way. Can't think of any blockbusters in the immediate future, either. D'oh, except maybe The Hobbit. Damn you, JRR Tolkien!! *shakes fist*

After reading some surprisingly good reviews (the trailer looked like crap to me), I'll check Judge Dredd out. Still, I wouldn't put it in the blockbuster category. Wouldn't surprise me if HT came out with at least a Judge Dredd figure, though.

When sideshow puts it up for pre-order what's the wait time for the figs to be in hand. I just know when Hot Toys lists pre-order you don't get the item until at least 6 months later. Also is in fellow freaks opinions it it better to wait on this than to get the RAH version?

By the time the Avengers blows over, people will be want Iron Man Mk IIX and Iron Patriot and all the new armors. . . .then when those come out people will want the new Thor. . . then by the time that one comes out people will want Winter Solider and WWII Cap 2.0, then the Avengers 2.0. Rinse, repeat.

In essence, Avengers?? Blow over??
