I hope it's Jan so I can then add the extra 3 months on top of that it will take to arrive in the UK.

I'm in the UK and this is my first order from Sideshows. Is it really a 2 months delay? What is the likelihood of it being intercepted by Customs and having to pay the 20% VAT and other fees?

What I meant was that for the price and the fact that they already have all the other electronics, why cheap out on the lightsaber which is way more important that a light up display base

Prolly because they are aware that most of us don't want a light-up saber. (It wasn't exactly a resounding success on Obiwan)

It'd bump up the price even more and not look as good as the picture you might have in your head of how good it will look.

Obi also had cheaper accessories and came from moulds that can be retooled for other figures. Where as Vader is pretty much a one-off figure from top to bottom. Hence the price discrepancy.

A good light up lightsaberwould be terrific.

It also looked terrible. Just buy an aftermarket cold cathode if you really want a light-up sabre.

Actually, the 2 month delay is for local retailers orders. If you buy direct from Sideshow, you'll get your figure earlier depending on how far you are on the PO list.

I understood what you meant, I think the bottom line after Obi Wan is, they realized most fans would rather them just concentrate on getting the details down rather than messing around with another light up saber.

It's an indicator when he is shipping. Unless you want him to ship at the end of January or early February, as some were stating, then it's a good thing I guess.
