I'm the opposite, I appreciate good character design over film making although it is always nice when they are equally impressive. The Wolf Predator is the best example I can think of, awful movie, excellent creature design that I don't dislike even slightly despite the directors best efforts.

I enjoyed it, but the criticism is true. Godzilla didn't get enough screen time. The times he did make an appearance was awesome.
Cranston's performance was amazing. Not surprised there.

Well it is one of the only Godzilla large statues out there. Not surprised with an ES of 750.
Burn for those hoping for it to be available for a long time and discounted. Though I imagine anyone who gets on the waitlist in the next month will have it convert.

I just put a preorder in with BBTS, I don't think I'll be able to get this but I'd like a chance at least, they only have 2 preorders left.

I definitely want this piece, it's just expensive but it's also a long way from release and could even see delay so I figure why not, who knows where my life will be at the time, if it works I'm on it.
I'm not shocked by the ES, it's Sideshow's first dip into the Godzilla franchise and from a film that only just came out with no real established fanbase, I think it's smart to be conservative, this could still end up going on sale and in numerous giveaways before it's done. I just hope it does well enough and their license supports doing more pieces. I'd love to see dioramas, even if just from this film, there's potential for some amazing looking Godzilla vs MUTO dioramas, they could do really dynamic stuff especially with the flying male.

IMO the low es has nothing to do with the movie and everything to do with price. Everyone said it was overpriced, so barely anyone bought it. I've been looking at this thing daily and at no time was it low stock, so this is yet another fake wait list. They're trying to drum up sales again, but it'll backfire. Who wants to pay a lump sum of $800 on a wait listed item people didn't even want to flex pay?

Makes sense though cause there are VERY few Zilla pieces even near this good (minus all the naysayers and nitpickers)

You make a good point bro. Yeah I was already tempted during SDCC and this is making me consider it more. I probably won't get on WL yet as you're probably right about the WL thing but like Surly mentioned its almost a guaranteed convert at this point
