The differences between SDCC Obiwan and production in terms of facial sculpt comes down to lighting and photography. You will see the exact same results from any manufacturer in the business. The rest is minor differences in production fabrics and futzing, because it seems people genuinely like the end result from what I've read. Anyone can produce far more egregious examples using any Hot Toys figure of the past few years.

The stuff from SDCC13 frankly looks a lot better still - that SDCC Obiwan shot is not a good example of great paint application, and the new Luke and Han are.

I'm inclined to agree with pixel.
I own obi and it look much better when it's not sitting under a flood light.:lol
