Well we've seen costume sketches of what looks like pretty much the same Hoth coat, and there's supposedly another snow planet...

Nice! Good point then about a possible updated version. I wonder with all the new movies, stand alone films and existing films, how Sideshow and Hot Toys are going to handle the volume of all the new and yet to be released older figures? Are they going to flood the market with so many figures that we ( our wallets) won't be able to keep up?

Well, I couldn't find even one, so what I'm doing is I got a hatted one from Toy Anxiety and I will remove the hat and sculpt some hair. You could do that, it will be cheaper!:)

I thought about that too. Thanks for the idea. I may do that.

And it works!

I've received my head from TA and removed the hat. It comes into two parts and there is indeed a head underneath, with half ears and sideburns and a semblance of flesh colored skull piece, I've tried putting sone quick strands of sculpey hair on it and loved it so much I went and ordered a second one to make a custom Indy. I know, I know, from the Indy thread it doesn't look too good, but I'm sure that the head can be thinned in the jaw with the Hot water treatment, and once you paint a five o'clock shadow, I'm sure the likeness will be brought out.

In fact, the only problem I can think of is how to harden the sculpey in an oven without melting the head!:lol

If you use Magic Sculp it'll chemically harden. You can sand and pint it as well.

Just ordered mine, Can't wait:yess:
Just out of curiosity can anyone who ordered from th UK tell me roughly how long it took to arrive?:impatient:

Finally got around to removing the zipper from the Bespin jacket. Was a little scared to do so, but it came right off pretty easily...

Yeah, I don't love the hatted Han head, which seems somehow distorted by the gluing of the hat (or something,) but the unhatted Han head is amazing. It's the same sculpt as the hatted, but it has a leaner look that nails Han, and doesn't really have the eye issues that the hatted head does.

You'd think the lack of the peak would "reveal" bad eyes but i find it's the reverse - I notice the eyes on the hatted portrait even partly hidden/shadowed under the peak, and not much at all on the unhatted portrait - it's weird.

I am loving these Hoth releases! I've planned on updating my old SS Bespin Han and Luke since the announcement but I had no idea how great they would turn out!

It's like two free figures!

I'm using some Hasbro gear to finish the BD Hoth Luke... so it's actually three free figs.
