My Han seems the right height, I only got luke yesterday to compare with and even with the pose being a little hunched to hold the scanner he is taller then my Luke who is in a standing straight pose

When I get some time alone, I'll need to whip it out and drop a ruler next to it. I'll make sure to first push him hard to make sure everything is in its place. But if anything is whacked, I might have to unrobe Luke and get freaky.

You should give it a rub also to get any stiffness out, but here's my Han and Luke you can see Luke is shorter both are stock no mods plus also a bonus Luke I'm putting together

Most guys get that out of the way in puberty. Late bloomer. You and that ruler though....

Here are a few pics of the screen used Bespin jacket on display at SW Celebration last weekend, no zippers and the color is obviously gray, not blue ;) You can actually see really well in these pics how the light plays off it changing its hues. In my mind though it will always be dark blue.

Yeah, I don't love the hatted Han head, which seems somehow distorted by the gluing of the hat (or something,) but the unhatted Han head is amazing. It's the same sculpt as the hatted, but it has a leaner look that nails Han, and doesn't really have the eye issues that the hatted head does.

You'd think the lack of the peak would "reveal" bad eyes but i find it's the reverse - I notice the eyes on the hatted portrait even partly hidden/shadowed under the peak, and not much at all on the unhatted portrait - it's weird.

I felt the opposite... I love the unhatted portrait, but thought the hatted one looked a bit better in person. Still, both turned out really good so I'm a happy camper.

I am loving these Hoth releases! I've planned on updating my old SS Bespin Han and Luke since the announcement but I had no idea how great they would turn out!

It's like two free figures!

Nice man, those look great. I'm going back and forth on if I want the Sideshow Luke head to be my main Bespin head or if I'll stick with the HT. I still think the quality of the HT sculpt is better, but the likeness is just so much stronger with the new Sideshow head.

Were you there too? Although I thought it looked more blue than grey overall... I thought it was cool seeing the extra bit of stitching around the elbow. Little details you'd probably never notice in the film.

The Sideshow Hoth one is definitely too dark of blue and the old Bespin one is a bit purplish. My only nit on the Sideshow one is I wish the sleeves were a bit longer, but aside from that (and having to remove the zipper) it's a great replacement.

Yes I was there! It was great. Although the pics I posted were from rebelscum. It's definitely a tricky color. Light plays a huge part in how it looks. I'd say it's more gray for sure but it has a bluish hue to it. Either way all of our toys have been wrong for 30+ years. But now that I have seen it with my own eyes I can pick it out more on screen and it will never be dark blue for me again. But the details up close are amazing!

Must be gray -- isn't it supposed to be Han going from black vest (not such a nice guy) to a more neutral gray jacket (Han softening)? Of course they never really completed that idea in ROTJ so I suppose the original intent was wasted.

Agreed, and especially not the royal blue it's been in my mind for my entire life :lol

I was there all 4 days, it was a blast and seeing the props was badass. Sadly I missed the panel were they talked about what they had on display, sounds like there were some really interesting stories. But, whenever you talked to the guys at the booth they were more than happy to tell you about the history.

True story - I had a pair of shorts that started out Navy blue and after a year or so had faded to more grey than blue. Not wanting to start any theories though...:lol

While it does have a couple of perfect angles, the hatted Han to me still has a bit of that slightly chubby Inuit look to me seen in the early pics whereas the unhatted doesn't. The face also seems slightly too wide/big for the hat. I may try the mod you did with unhatted Luke head to mess with the facial proportions a bit. I'm sure it's the hat glue and backer piece that is distorting the face. I want to get the eye gaps and face itself a bit thinner.

I know what you mean by the HT vs SSC Luke heads. The SSC head IS Luke likeness-wise over the "sorta Luke" of the HT (the reason SSC head became my non-BD Luke on display) but the paint and detail is pretty basic. The HT has lots of shades of pinks and tans whereas the SSC is that too-dark complexion that is uniform across the face. Likeness has to trump paint apps though.

The answer to the colour is movie magic.... Like the Simpsons explain it it you want to have a cow in a movie that's created by strapping twenty cats together :p

No theories needed bro ;) Although I love that people insist it was blue, its like a stubborn way of not admitting the fact that the merchandise has been wrong for years and it is so ingrained in all of our(mine too) brains that in ESB Han wore blue. Heck I even ordered the blue coat SS Echo Base Han, for nostalgia purposes. I know full well his parka was brown, I have seen it in person, but I like blue! As for the Bespin jacket, Its not faded, it has always been gray, even the liner is gray. Start watching ESB again and look at screen grabs and you will start to see it.

Man, haven't seen this thread for almost a year and I see people are still debating about the jacket's color.
