Forget "Thor is here!" from Star Craft 2 because
HULKBUSTER IS HERE BABY!
"WOW" is all I can say! This guy is HUGE! I got #397/650, though it looks like a #297 LOL.
I couldn't be happier with this piece. The paint is perfect, no chips anywhere, everything fit perfectly with no head aches, and it was easy to assemble even for a dummy like me!
The amount of detail is astounding, even the base which blew me away b/c I wasn't expecting that. I will definitely put a mirror behind him in display b/c the back is so beautifully detailed that it would be a sin not to have view of it! I'm still in disbelief having read some comments about this piece not being up to par with others, Idk how it can get much better unless it made me pancakes in the morning
I'm grateful that UPS didn't destroy the shipment and even more fortunate that the original box was in mint condition as well as the Hulkbuster piece itself.
Warning: This is my 1st SSC piece so I'll be flooding this thread w/ pictures.
Box looked good, that was a good sign PHEW!
This is where I had a flashback of Christmas as a kid and seeing that "it" present I wanted all year like a Nintendo!
After carefully getting the styro foam casing out of the box, I noticed this hole in the base and almost needed a diaper. His right foot carved it's way out and was exposed but luckily there was no damage! PHEW again.
Mummification process looked good aside from that darned right foot
#397
Here he is propped in the display protected so I can move him around to my liking.
And now he's ready for show time baby!
Helmet down, going to bust up that naughty Hulk!
Quick snap shot of 1 part of the room where he'll be chillin
Does anyone have their Hulkbuster in a Detolf? I kinda wanted to put him there initially but due to his enormous size I figured I'd ask before possibly breaking some glass.
I have Dioders that I may install on the entertainment center you see in the pic above b/c the lights that come with it don't hold a candle to the them. However, I plan on replacing this entertainment unit in a few months and didn't know if the install was worth it.
What would you guys/gals do? Leave him be and install the Dioders or move him into a Detolf? O__o
Thanks for reading & thanks to all who've answered my endless barrage of nooby questions!
