I can understand the people that ordered the Regular because they were too late though, and get this slapped in their faces, but if i was one of the lucky 100 i wouldn't care,it's just a number on a piece i would be lucky to have obtained.

Yeah a ____ty move by Sideshow but like i said i personally wouldn't care if i allready had it.

$ideshow has ZERO credibility with me for doing this. This isn't about edition sizes or numbers it is about principal. I paid a deposit in good faith based on an agreement with SS that only 100 of these would be produced. There is an open edition size on the regular that still lets people get this piece.
Sideshow has gone and changed the deal and hasn't even bothered to email me beforehand. Offering a lousy refund on my deposit (which I'm not even officially made aware of yet) is just insulting. It is a big ____ YOU to the 100 people who had this ordered followed by a "hey if you don't like us doing you in the ass here is a refund".
Businesses are built on reputation and this sets a ____ty precedent for edition sizes in the future.
$ideshow needs to learn some ethics.

now is not about collectable , it's about money, ss want to make more money !!!!!!!!!!! it's ___ up that they do that, plus there is no light or paint job improvement .......so disappoint with ss now.

sideshow is in the wrong here, no question.....in my case, i wanted this movie character for the home theater. i would buy it even if the es was 10,000. but i certainly understand freaks frustration.

From a collector standpoint I can understand that it's the principle of the thing. If the ES is announced as 100, then it should remain 100. But from a business standpoint, if Sideshow has the opportunity to make another $1,200 from 50 more collectors, they are going to do that. That's alot of dough to not capitalize on. I just hope for Sideshow's sake that the final production arrives without defects and that the majority of collectors keep their order and decide to not cancel come shipping time.

Not seeing any benefit for SS. This is ALL bad for SS.

Would those people NOT order the regular? IF not, then what is their motive, I mean a couple swords....

I concur with most of you. I missed out on the piece but if I had bought one I would not be happy whatsoever. Anyone who missed out had the regular edition to get if they wished and that's good enough!!

Oh yea the people who got the regular ones will be piss bad!!!! I got the ex and I still mad about it!!

100 to 150 after people have ordered and paid a deposit falls into false advertising class based on the law!

Have any other compaies out there done something like this?....I've never seen CM do this. Infact I think the do the opposite. CM sets an ES of 1000 but may only make 500 depending on demand. Honestly...that im ok with. Then I know I own somthing even rarer than advertised. But it doesnt work the other way around. I mean and ES of 100 is pretty low...150 is still pretty low. But I bought in at 100, a portion of the $1200 im paying is for the exclusivity. It defeats the purpose when they INCREASE the ES.

I have to admit, while i am a very avid collector...i am probably one of SS's least picky customers. I am sometime surprised at what some people nit-pick at...and i often tell myself, there are really some things more important.
However, in this case i do feel somewhat cheated by SS. I ordered the Ex for just that, the exclusivity. To many of us the ES is a feature that was advertised and while intangible - it is a concrete feature to which we place value. Raising the ES after the fact diminishes that value.
Now in all fairness, SS as i understand is giving us an out waiving the penalty fees (and more likely legally a good move on their part). While i will maintain my order, it does leave me with a bad taste in my mouth.
I have many choices when it comes to my collecting, and i may have to start voting with my dollar and encouraging others to do so.

Where and when did they announce this. I couldn't find anything on the site. Do you guys mean they just updated the edition size and that's it!?!? No communication at all. Harsh SS very harsh :nono

this isnt the first time they have raised the ES on a piece though, and going from an ES of 100-150 really doesnt hurt the exclusivity of this item at all imo. I dont see it as a big deal. Did anyones waitlist even convert from this added ES?

It takes a little of the Prestige away from it.

You guys don't get the irony of raising the ES by 50% on a high priced deposit Optimus, Sideshow are the Decepticons.

Now the question is, who is Megatron?

I did not order this because it was overpriced to me, but they really ____ed over the people who did.

Corporate greed wins against keeping their word.

Pretty much what I want to say to whoever raised the edition size.
Where's the Tylenol?!

50 extra statues = 60 grand. Cost to make one is probably $200-300 out the door. Max they spent to make an additional 50 is 15K. For 45K the jerks are going to tell us to kiss off.

Buying based on edition size = bad idea.

SS is definitely in the wrong here for doing what they did and I think people should be granted the choice of getting a deposit refund for breaking their own documentation releases stating they were limiting to 100 ES. Break their word, then people should be entitled because it's false advertising.

HOWEVER, those who got to order this awesome piece in Exclusive and love it... why do you care? Somehow 150 Exclusive pieces in the world is really bothersome as opposed to 100. If you guys think about it it's not that hard in how they could have worked this in to the picture....

The regular edition might not be blowing the roof in sales, so maybe they allocated 50 of those reg editions and ordered an extra set of 50 blades for the exclusive and be able to get those accounted for, sold and out the door. Then they can close both offerings and say they had a stellar of a success sellout on both editions and get their bonuses.
