This thing is IMO the best single piece Sideshow has ever done. The base alone is gorgeous. It totally takes me back to Disneyland every time I see it. Now that Jack Sparrow is actually in the ride, it's even more perfect. I wasn't going to get this, but that base actually sold me. Damn you, Sideshow!

Last time I was on the ride I was 5 so I have no memory . I was at Disney in 2006 but it was during the time they were adding the movie elements to the ride and it was closed and I haven't been back since, I really want to go on it again just to check it out being a big fan of the movies.

When I was there last month, the ride stopped for several minutes when we were next to the big pirate ship attacking the fortress. A couple of employees were at the edge looking around in the water with some very bright flashlights. I was wondering what you would have to drop overboard to get them to do that...

I just went on the POTC ride at Disney LAND yesterday..... Man that got me pumped for this piece!!! And I must say that the ride at Disney land is better then the one in Disney World

You'll love it. We went on it 3 or 4 times. And, it was one of the rides we decided we "Had to go on one last time before we leave" our last day at Disney World.

I miss it there....

POTC and Haunted Mansion are my top two rides at Disneyworld. I could ride these again and again and not get bored.
