Well, I sent a question off to the official "Ask Sideshow" folks in regards to the OBVIOUS change in the arm position.

This is they're response:

"Hello Chris,

Please be advised that our 'Ask Sideshow' form is not a way to get in touch with our Customer Service department. If you are unhappy with any of our products, you can contact [email protected] directly, and they will set you up with a full refund of the item's price.

Best Regards,
SideshowCollectibles.com"

Now, since I wasn't asking for a refund...only enquiring about why the sculpt itself was changed...this response is absolutely pointless.
It tells me that Sideshow IS NOT concerned with the product that a customer receives...unless it is a situation that would require refunding money.

Very sad...very very sad.

With that said...I'm still keeping it.
I've bought all of the dios up to this point and don't intend on stopping.

This one will just have to have a little customizing done to it to make it acceptable to me.

But, for any Sideshow big wigs who read these posts...that is really a piss poor attitude to have with the people who are still forking out good money to you in these tough economic times.

Thanks Malice

your pics are SICK too :duff

glad you finally got the dude in your avatar :D

Chris-

Thanks for sharing the info...
Sideshow didn't respond in the correct manner...you never asked about a refund so it doesn't make sense.
So you're gonna customize the hand yourself ?

Wow Sabres, you asked a simple question and surely didnt get a simple answer. I would'nt be surprised maybe sideshow noticed but are ac:confused:ting like nothing is wrong.

I truly hope this is the first beginnings of a great couple starting to go down concerning product production and customer care. Bec sideshow has the best customer care of any company i have dealt with. :sick

In all honesty, i kinda never really liked this pose. Yet i still love it. BUt i wish they did this pose on the pedestal. Think this pose would of been the best bet.

Totally agree with you. SS is a little lazy and all they care about is our wallet. I don't understand how they are able to change a definitive version of a product after everyone has payed for it. They better start reading this threads if they want to keep everyone happy. (and lower the crazy price for the queen :lol)

Still they make awesome products.

you gotta love that message

Yea..that pic you posted would've been a great pose...with skull/spine in one hand :rock

Yup most def...in those pics he comes across as a more scary, more powerful, more of deadlier killer, who does need to bend down to strike he just jumps down and strikes. Where sideshow one does'nt really do it for me. lol

Sabres, I understand your frustration, but the Ask Sideshow method of contacting them really is meant for certain types of questions. If you go through the customer service contact method, there's an "other" option instead of replacements, etc. and you should be able to get an answer through their. Sideshow can be picky about what questions go through what channels. I've often asked questions through the CS means, like one time I just asked if the JAWS maquette would be the shark as a separte piece from the base, or one time asking if the Medicom Hannibal would include hands being in a straight jacket, and I've always gotten thorough and helpful answers. If you write to them through their and word it properly, you should get the answers you're looking for.

Getting mine tomorrow, and I cannot wait!

This guy looks so damn mean with that exclusive head. Goddamn I love this dio already.

Thanks for all of the pics so far everyone!

I think the big difference on the face is the paint, the racoon style to the eyes gives them more depth and menace, on the P1, the same color basically runs from the eye sockets to the forehead, the eyes don't stand out as much.
