Dusty, if a wait list item (post May 2006) get's converted into an order, would you get points for that too?

As of right now, Wait Lists are not affected by points, either earning or redeeming. But it is something that we'd like to add at a later date, once the programming can be completely worked out. Consider this the 'Beta' test of Sideshow Rewards, with the possiblity of additional benefits at a later date

But I know that number will most certainly change, there's a few I have to cancel.
Strange that you get points on Hot toys and Medicom Items, but you can't use the points to purchase other items made by those companies.
I was originally hoping to use the points on the Jabba Throne, but I wouldn't get much of a deal. Best to save them for something else

Cool, I've got 145 pending points (too bad Darth Maul doesn't get points) I was thinking I would have had some other points, but the other stuff I got doesn't get points. How come all of the previous Star Wars 12" figures don't get any points?

It's buggy as hell, though. My spooktacular loot isn't counted, mainly because it was never labeled as 'shipped'.

Other than that, 1/20 for every dollar, not too shabby.

One more time... If you placed your pre-order for anything BEFORE May 1st (no matter when it shipped/ships), there are no points for those orders, as those were made prior to the date when the points started kicking in.

If you pre-ordered/ordered something SINCE May 1st, and it shipped before September 30th, those points are AVAILABLE.

If you pre-ordered/ordered something SINCE may 1st, and it shipped/will ship after September 30th, those points are PENDING until 40 days after it was/will be shipped.

(this is going to be a long day )

Good point, I still have a Pippin statue from over a year ago showing as "Shipping Soon," not to mention some of my more recent orders. I hope SS can clean up our accounts some.

Hm, that's strange. That bug was supposed to have been cleaned out a while back. Yes, older orders (from over a year ago) may still be buggy (ie: LOTRfan's Pippin), but anything new should not be having this problem. If you can PM me with your information and T order numbers for the Spooktacular stuff, I can forward them to the correct people so they can troubleshoot. Thanks!

I have 95 points but 4500 pending. Too bad we didn't get points for pre-orders that shipped between the dates. I had over a $1000 in stuff

I have a question that isn't excatly covered in the FAQ. I ordered Jabba and the set up at SDCC. Will I be able to recieve rewards points for it or will it be considered a sort of "phone" order? Thanks.

Anything from way back is not affected by points. Like I said, orders since the May 1st cut-off date should be up-to-date in your account. If you have orders SINCE May 1st, 2006 that are not reflecting the correct status, feel free to PM me and I'll pass them on.

Nevermind my case, Dusty, everything is fine now I think. All shipped items are marked 'shipped' as they should be.

Please note that pending points become active 40 days after an item has shipped.


This means the spook points are yet to be counted?

Hey Dusty, thanks for banging our heads together as you restate what is in the FAQ, figured out my rewards points count is 100% correct!

Man, this is a good way to curb returns due to buyer's remorse. Can't put one over on Sideshow Marketing department!

But I still think I will buy my non-exclusives from Adam at Dark Shadow. He's a better packer, cheaper shipper, and I like the MSRP discount now. Go Adam!

Yes, I was trying to say that I still have (Order Placed) on orders from back in 2005. Not that they were counted towards reword points. I'm not worried about them but it's strange none the less. I'll PM you the order numbers.

It also occurs to me that if I want to risk it, I can game the system by cancelling all my pre-orders prior to May, place them today, and get points for that later when they convert.

True, I'll lose my place in line, and some items may never convert, but it seem like it might be worth it for some exclusive items that had a hard time selling out and some people are cancelling now...

What's cool is that I went back and found I have 2 pre-orders I placed back in April of this year that are still not sold out yet. I cancelled the old pre-order did a new pre-order now I will get credit for the items when they ship.

Just don't cancel a sold-out pre-order doing this or it's gone....gone....gone

Hmmm.... despite collecting 12" figures from Star Wars, LOTR, James Bond, Highlander, Buffy & Angel I managed to not get any current points......... damn stupid preorder dates. To be honest I really don't see why pre-order dates should come into it - particularly given the time over runs but I guess something in the future is better than nothing...... I would have thought just straight shipping date is quite alot more relevent - particularly given the no deposit/cancellation policy of SSC.
