I think the program is very well done. I extend my thanks and appreication to SSC for all the thought and hard work.

I am very bummed out about one thing though. I ordered my Jabba Inclusive, the Jabba throne, the Jabba creature pack, Leia Boussh Exclusive and Bib Fortuna exclusives ALL at SDCC in person this year! I lost a mother pile of points on that! Doooooooooooooooh! And everything is now sold out so no cancelling and re-ordering for the points.

Same here! That is a real bummer. SDCC should be an exception. We were supposed to be rewarded by attending, not punished :monkey2

I don't like the "pending points" because it scares me to know how much I have on pre-order  :lol

I am very happy to be getting points and look forward to when I have enough to get something nearly free. I just checked out the t 800 and it was ordered in Mar. 2006. Wow that was so long ago. I guess since only Cordy is coming before Xmas I should get something else for Xmas and add more points.
Thanks Dusty and Sideshow for the generosity.

I am truly grateful for any rewards program; however, I am saddened that not a single figure I have paid for since May counts for bonus points because all of those pre-order dates came before May 1st. That is hundreds of dollars spent without reward. But lest I should be labeled a complainer :) ...

...I realize I did not purchase my figures with the thought of rewards in mind. I bought them for the shear joy of owning the figures. I am glad that all the big purchases coming up will add points to my account (Jabba anyone? :D ).

My only other concern would be why not Boromir? (5/30/2006)

Otherwise, I love the rewards program and am happy I purchase products from a company that tries to give back to fans like myself. Sideshow, keep up the great work.

I hope this post doesn't cause to much flaming. :balrog

Thanks to the board for allowing me a place to voice my concerns.

I too want Jabba points. I didn't techically order him on the phone though because I was at SDCC. That was a special event and I think it should count towards rewards. We spent the time and money to attend the even and now we get bitten for it by ordering there like they incouraged us to. I know I should be greatful for any points, but with others being able to get these big points from Jabba, I would like them too. If I had know this was going to happen, I would have ordered him back at home or the hotel and suffer through the PPOs.

So Dusty, if you could throw in a good word for us that ordered Jabba at SDCC it would be really appreciated. This is my first BIG Sideshow order (with me being only a 1:6 scale collector there isn't many BIG orders) and I woud like to get the points that woud take me many other figures to earn. This is the only grip I have with the rewards system. A phone order should count as well since it is still a vaild order.

Don't make me start a "SDCC Jabba orders for points" Krusade! :lol

I understand why phone orders can't be tracked. Too much man power needed for that. No gripes in the slightest. And like others, I ordered the whole Jabba set-up, Boussh and Bib not for rewards... but becasue they're cool and I want them in my collection.

But I do agree that SDCC would be a nice exception to the Internet only rule. I would also have braved the internet in my hotel if I knew!

Please take mercy on us, Dusty, oh great Mistress and Sideshow Gods!! :D

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Dusty, could you please clarify one thing? The FAQ says "completed purchases from May 1, 2006" earn rewards. What counts as a COMPLETED purchase? I thought it was explained in that past that anything which SHIPS after that date should count. Or is it only anything ORDERED before that date? I ask because I had a LOT of orders ship after May 1st, plus my SDCC pick-up order, but I didn't earn any points for that stuff... I realize there are still bugs to work out, but I just want to make sure we understand what should or should not count... Thanks!

EDIT: Based on the pages I've read, shipping dates don't count. You guys might want to consider re-wording that. To me, Completed Purchases would be when you are CHARGED and the item ships... Anyone else agree/disagree?

Actually, most pre-orders have taken place after May. Didn't Maul pre-order in June? and all the Comic-Con exclusives as well - and anything premiered during comic-con and pre-ordered online. Only a few items remain that pre-ordered before May and have yet to ship, at least that I can see...
No, my SDCC pre-order (for Sith Anakin) took place on 4/27/06, FOUR days too soon! I had 9 pre-orders which shipped after May 1st. I also have 9 pre-orders since then. So it's 50/50 for me. But still, I'm somewhat disappointed. I only have 35 points right now, even though I've have tons of charges in the last few months...

Ok, I think I have figured out part of the problem people are seeing. As Dusty stated, Wait List items do not count and if the product page has the "Reservation" button, then no points show on that page. If the product is still available for purchase or is listed as "Sold Out", then the points show up. Now the question is, were the points applied to everyone's totals if the product is currently available for reservation?

Example: I ordered four of the Brotherhood of Arms Carded sets back in May when they came up for Second Chance. Three of them are now sold out again, but still taking reservations for the Wait List. These three show no points for purchase. The fourth set is still available for purchase and has the Red Star and available points showing.

I am still checking all my orders between May and Sept to see if I can match up to my "available" points and that may shed some light on whether the points have been applied or not. I'll report back once I'm finished...

Well, after going through all my orders, it looks like the points for products that don't show points currently, were counted in the totals, so just because the product page doesn't show points now, doesn't mean you didn't get the points for it if it was purchased during the correct time frame. My totals didn't match Sideshow's exactly, but were close enough. The only oddity I came across were two products purchased before Sept 30th and already shipped but were still pending. It appears the point system is automatic (Kit character key instantly changed my pending points) so it seems odd those two items still show as pending...

You don't get points on Wait List conversions. As was stated before ;)

Actually, you DO get points on WL conversions that are still pre-orders. I have a few that converted after May that went up for preorder before then, and are listed as "pending". These items have not been released yet. Does that make sense? Hope I didnt make Chris aware of a bug.:monkey2

BTW,
available points: 395
pending points: 2913

Damn, I wish they counted items that SHIPPED after May, not preordered after May. I've got TONS that fit that category. Pred. Ex. would be $50 alone. I also am not getting points from my Rebel Han Ex., Samaritan 1:1, and Ugluk WL conversions that happened in the past couple of months.

It's funny. Even if SS went back to Jan 1st, people would still harp about orders they made in Nov and Dec.

It's something guys, and they had to pick someplace for it start and have some rules. I'll take it.

I preordered Luke and Yoda Dagoba Exclusive 5/26/06 and it doesnt show points for that?

available points: 368
pending points: 1391

The pending points are from the Marvel PF's I've pre-ordered, plus Boba.

Thanks for instituting this. If I play my points right, I can pretty much order anything on SS now with a discount.

My only gripe for the moment is that my KOTD statue has STILL not been shipped out yet, even though everything else has since Spooktacular ended.

Oh, don't you see it so pessimistic old chaps! Think of the fantastic figure you are about to get! If it eases you pain: non-attendees have to pay a higher price for the SDCC exclusives. That's our punishment.

Its not a punishment to pay $5 more for them. It is a reward as well. You didn't spend $$$ attending SDCC. They didn't have to let non-attendees order so it is still a reward. I know how it feels to be a non-attendee. I usually am one. This year was my first SDCC and it was kinda a High School Graduation Senior Trip. I just want to get my points that a lot of other people are getting. It was an inclusive, not a PPO that a phone order might be the only way of getting one. There was 5 or so days to get them. I know I should be glad for any points that I have(which I am) but with this being my first big Sideshow purchase and others being able to get the points for it, I would like mine too. :monkey2

An other way to loose reward points...

Combined shipping is a good way to save money, but it'll also cost you reward points. When you ask for combined shipping, one of the two orders is cancelled, since it's added to the other order. All rewards points for the cancelled order(s) are lost. That's the down side. The up side is that you pay significantly less for shipping. Although I can't fully reproduce that logic (it's only an ostensible cancel, and you're still paying for it, right?), I couldn't care less. If there's one thing I really dislike about dealing with Sideshow - being an EU customer - it's the recurrently high shipping costs, and the taxes due.

So, long live combined shipping, even at the cost of reward points!!

I only have 188 points available to use for me, not crazy like you freaks. But I do wish I could have gotten points for Luke & Yoda PF, that's the biggest piece I have ever bought from SS and I don't even get points for it. :( :(

I ordered May 19th and it's not on there. I'm sure it'll get fixed.

Since I did most of my ordering in Jan/Feb, I only have 180 points. Kinda sucks since I've spent almost $4000 with SS this year. But it's better than nothing and I'm sure I've got a lot of points coming.
