Finally, Rhino is in house, & with NO structural flaws. Overall a great sculpt, good size, great portrait(s), details & pose.

But, regardless for lack of weight, the texture/surface somehow looks cheap, & paint apps for the body seem a little too simplistic & dull. Not sure if this is due to the fiberglass used, or just a lazier paint job. I just somehow feel that a traditional polystone construction would have given the sculpt a higher end look to it. Maybe I'm wrong, but something just doesn't seem to be right.:dunno

Movie Rhino. (before he gets the suit)

Just got mine and it's going straight back. Had the cracks of course, but worse, I think it's just a bad piece overall. Due to his stance and the way he's posed there is a massive sideways lean. Maybe this is why they made him so light? Otherwise, had he been solid or more solid the peg would bend. He should have been posed to be more sure-footed for better weight distribution. Sculptors need to pay better attention to this! And yes, he does look and feel cheap...like $29.99 at Toys R Us cheap. SS really do have rhino-sized brass ones to attach a $400 price to this piece of junk :lecture

Its actually correct. He's bent over and running. Your body does that

Haha right? Especially considering the rhino, you know, attacks with the horn on his head.

I think it turned out to be a pretty good looking attack pose...

Pose & sculpt are great. It's just the bull**** fiberglass & paint apps that are..................:gah::gah::gah:slap:slap:slap:cuckoo::cuckoo::cuckoo::cuckoo:

Paint apps aren't so bad, pretty monochromatic overall. Underside a lil darker. Face was done pretty well.
The hollowness and price are what bothered me. Still a great sculpt though.

:goodpost: hollow is ok, but paying full price as a solid statue is questionable. Should have been 375.00 max

I think when they set the price, they had every intention of having a solid piece. But they cut corners to save money and it probably ended up costing them in the end with all of the defected pieces. I'm glad I got a good one.

:exactly: well said! I agree with this 100%. it's not hard to see this.
