last time I went behind a toys r us, I got me some free rocks on the curb. now if some of u folks are sensitive or insecure, you can always try the beach....FREE!!! :D

Paint apps aren't so bad, pretty monochromatic overall. Underside a lil darker. Face was done pretty well.
The hollowness and price are what bothered me. Still a great sculpt though.

Lets be honest, $300 max.

I think when they set the price, they had every intention of having a solid piece. But they cut corners to save money and it probably ended up costing them in the end with all of the defected pieces. I'm glad I got a good one.

Agreed. Overall, the sculpt. size, & pose are great, & an essential addition to the Spidey rogue lineup. But the price for a grossly comprised piece, materials, paint apps (excluding portrait(s), & hollowness wise, is a thieving joke at best.

To put a positive spin on this truly unwarranted, low balling fiasco, is that all us proud owners of Rhino can boast of owning the most expensive, cheap fiberglass made, garden gnome in the world. Talk about bragging rights.:slap

Hoping SS have learned a lesson, (doubt it, as long as product sells out), & gets back to their roots, which elevated them it the first place. What the hell happened to this formerly fabulous company's sense of integrity & pride anyway?????????

I agree crap like this is why I'm glad I have a mancave full of old school quality stuff versus this new crap they're spinning. Best part is the goofballs that defend it tooth and nail. More power too you I guess.

Can't be mad at them for not know what it was like back in the days of ol' skool SSC! When all the pieces that were being released look like the proto, and we didn't even have to question the quality we were going to get on our doorsteps.

Well said. :goodpost: :exactly:

Really missed those days when we don't have to pray that the QC holds up. Nowadays, buying a statue from SSC is like a lottery as far as the QC is concern.

Yes I never knew what it was like back in the beginning. But I've heard a lot of great things about SS. Now all I hear is mostly negative. I hope they can learn from these issues and become great again in the future. Well I guess I e email them and looks like they are ignoring my emails here. Some cs since I ask them so nicely on both sites. No responses in a 2 weeks. Not the nicest way of doing business with the buyers.

There were issues with statues from SS from the very beginning, although not to the same extent as today.

Many HATED the Hulk PF, for example.

They've gotten big and popular now so they don't need to pamper us anymore. They know they'll get the money anyway so they cut cost in other places. It's very rare for a company to grow and retain a top of the line CS.
But you have to wonder if all the QC issues and replacements recently are hurting their bottomline. Probably so since now they don't even offer replacements half the time.

They have a take it or leave attitude. I have the rhino ex with no defects but I agree with master bodie and the rest of the boys, the hollowness makes this statue feel cheap.i do not feel like I got my money's worth when it comes to the quality and integrity of this collectible.

I'm not fan of the Hulk PF myself but as far as I know, there weren't any QC issues with the piece.

Wow excellent collection! And I dont think Ive seen images as "clean" as yours. Simply amazing. If you dont mind me asking, what camera setup are you using?

Isn't really the camera, but the light set up and lens + Photography skills.

I'm by no means an expert and have no formal training in photography but I've been studying it these past few months. I quickly learned your camera is only part of the equation. Lighting, lens and skills are everything. Plus whatever he's using for that black background or however he achieves it helps.

I'm betting he probably does have a decent, good or great camera though. Either way he knows what he's doing. Great pics!
