I don't understand the lack of consistency from a design standpoint. Maybe it's just me, and maybe I'm wrong in making this statement, but on the goggled portrait on both the maquette as well as the dio, the bottom portion looks like a faceplate.

But as Silent Surfer posted, the goggled portrait on the new sixth scale figure is supposed to resemble a balaclava...but unfortunately it looks a little gimp like (the figure's portrait, not the picture of the balaclava that Surfer posted).

I think lighting is making it look brighter, but it isn't totally black either. It's supposed to resemble this silk balaclava material.

And this pic makes me think the figure needs more definition in the trapezius and deltoid areas.

I really wanted to love this figure. Damn.

Ah so he does come with a basic black shirt under the zip-up coat. Nice.

But no updated "classic" Uzi? Just the same one that will fit crooked in his hand? No classic weapons at all? Not even the cartoon rifle? Bummer.

The statue is wearing a ballistic mask, the figure is wearing a cloth balaclava with goggles.
I think the Ballistic mask is the better choice.


And yep, I'm not the only one who thinks the heads are too small.

It's actually a MP9, I put Uzi in quotes because it's an Uzi type of machine pistol.

I stand corrected. I forgot the TMP evolved to the MP9.

Well that's underwhelming. Head looks small and too shiny for what it's supposed to be, neck looks long, muscle body with limited arm movement I would assume, and gear seems to be bash-worthy, don't give a poo about an articulated wolf at all. Price is nuts.

I like the pants though a lot, and the idea of the two heads. Prob going to be a parts buyer for me off TA or whatever.

Man I was really excited for this. What a miss, esp compared to how swift the first version is if you throw him on a better body and gear him up a little differently.

At $200 a pop for L&O and M&J, I might toss my Elite™ card in the garbage disposal and give it a whirl. For the life of me I can't understand who would sign off on this and say, "Yup, it's awesome. It's perfect to launch the new benchmark in price!" He'd be in line at EDD if he was my employee. It's not an optical illusion as far as the goggles are concerned. The lenses are far too small for the head and makes him look like he's ready to hop aboard the short bus. And Timber looks like something that'd come with Wilderness Barbie. Hardly an accessory for a $200 high-end piece. Sideshow bullseyed it with the statue which makes this even that much more obvious. 99% of this figure can be bashed at 50% of the price and a bit disgraceful coming on the heels of the Viper who was absolutely perfect.

Yeah, I'm realizing now that's where my disappointment originates from entirely. Was really hoping for a figure based on the statue, the commando part of which was perfect.

Seeing similar negative comments on a few boards now too, wonder how much of that Sideshow is going to address from the general consensus?
